  1. So do you think there won't be any price drops on the improved Ulterras?
  2. Are there a couple of price drops normally or just one? Are they permanent price drops or sales?
  3. Why doesn't the Ulterra have 360'? Will the improved Ulterra have have 360'?
  4. I have a hoist in my pole barn. Could I lift the engine, put the brackets on, reinstall the motor like that?
  5. I was thinking about getting a new Ulterra for my 2014 Stratos VLO, but am now thinking about getting 2 Talons instead. I'm wondering how much would they cost, how much would they cost to have installed or could I install them myself, and are there any accessories I would need such as mounting brackets. I still have 2.5 years of warranty on the boats Evinrude E-Tec, would having the Talons installed sandwich mounted between the outboard and transom void the warranty? (The motor does not have a jack plate). How much would it cost to add 12' Talons to my boat?
  6. That's a launch with concrete, ones that have concrete that abruptly ends, do you worry about causing washouts and building rock piles when you powerload? Or getting debris in your outboard?
  7. What's funny is that per the polling, far more people fish wacky rigged Senkos while going per written posts, T-Rig far exceeds it.
  8. I didn't want to hijack someone else's thread so I started this one. I was told that powerloading your boat was bad because it builds up debris and rocks into a pile behind the outboard that can cause a buildup that other boaters can hit when they are launching your boats. The other reason was that it will cause debris that is created to get sucked into your engine. At one public launch I saw a sign that said no powerloading. The reason it stated for not doing it was the buildup of debris. Personally, I was launching my boat at a relatively deep ramp and as I was backing straight away from the dock I hit some rocks. I looked down and there was a scooped out portion in front of the rocks. I believe that powerloading had caused these scooped out area and debris pile that my lower unit hit. No proof that's what did it, but it definitely appeared to be. I don't know if powerloading is bad, I don't know if it's been proven, but that's my question here. Anyone ever hear of anyone ruining their engine by powerloading? How do you load your boat: Powerload or Winch? And have you ever had any issues with either or someone you heard about?
  9. As the title states. How do you fish a Senko: Wacky Rig, Texas Rig, Other. I normally use Wacky Rig, but T-Rig definitely shoot under docks easier.
  10. I was told that power loading was bad for two reasons, one ur causes a buildup of rocks at the landing which boaters can hit and 2 is that it causes sediment to be sent into the motor. I don't do it anymore. I did actually hit rocks backing my boat out of a public launch and I believe it happened bc of people power loading and causing the rock formation. I know I went to a public launch once and it had a sign saying no power loading. I get my trailer boards wet then pull the trailer up a little. It can be harder winching up the boat by hand doable. I've hand winched all of my boats, 3 of them. I can say my next boat, probably my last, will have an electronic winch as I hope to fish into old age.
  11. Mine has off, timer, and on. I don't know what the difference is. My old one only had on and off.
  12. What little things?
  13. What are circle PC's?
  14. Here's what I came up with. Not great but it works.
  15. How well do chatterbaits work in thin to medium dense weeds?
  16. O. Not bad. Wondering why it's narrower.
  17. You're saying the Pro-V Bass 2075 has a narrower beam than the Pro-V Bass 1875?

Most lakes have docks. Two great baits are wacky rigged Senkos and Zoom Super Flukes. You can cast these either under and around the docks and both will work in the water between docks. The Senko will also work being cast into deep water. Those two baits would work on almost any lake.
  19. Will these rebates most likely include the improved Ulterra? What kind of discount are we talking about?
  20. Wacky rigged Senko and Zoom Super Fluke.
  21. What's the hot option?
  22. I fish a lot of shallow lakes and I like fishing docks. I know that if I had them it would be a lot easier to go from dock to dock, put them down and really be able to fish the dock thoroughly, rather than have the Terrova's spotlock push me around in a 5-10' foot radius almost hitting the dock. They will also save on the battery a lot by not having the TM constantly fighting for position. So, hopefully my next boat will have them. If you don't fish shallow water often or docks, they maybe a waste for you.
  23. So, spoke with Ranger/Stratos and they make a cover for Rangers but not Stratos and they aren't interchangeable. What I'm going to do is order a cheap cutting board, then staple some grey indoor/outdoor carpeting to it, screw it to the wood that I got there now and it should hopefully fix the problem.
