Is It Ok To Leave Some Plastics Out Of The Original Bag And Do Some Need To Be Put Back Into Their Original Bag?
Which ones can be left out and which ones can't? Is it like all Berkley Powerbaits have to go back in their bag and most other plastics don't?

Is It Ok To Leave Some Plastics Out Of The Original Bag And Do Some Need To Be Put Back Into Their Original Bag?
I noticed that some plastics are much more sticky and gooey then others. When I use a plastic and am done fishing I usually take the entire hook off (ie: EWG hook with Senko, Swim Jig with Zoom Chunk) the swivel snap and put it in my tackle box for next time. Since I use mostly the few same things all of the time they get used quite a bit. While Zoom Chunks and Senko's seem to be fine after many uses and away from the original bag I was wondering about some of the more sticky and gooey plastics that I have. I'm not sure they'd do so well being out of their air tight bag with salt and other chemicals keeping them soft and supple. I thought that certain plastics like Berkley Powerbaits which are infused with scent need to be put back into their original bag and sealed otherwise they will dry out and become less effective, supple, and soft. Is it ok to leave some plastics out of the original bag and do some need to be put back into their original bag?

What Is The Most Common Swim Jig Size? - Seibert?
O, man, it's here! My Seiberts order. I took Mike's advice on weight and colors for Minnesota and got 6 jigs. I went with: 2x Watermelon Black Flake head in Blue Gill skirt wire tied in 1/4oz. 2x Silver Black head in Bloody Shad skirt wire tied in 1/4oz. 1x Watermelon Black Flake head in Blue Gill skirt wire tied in 3/8oz. 1x Silver Black head in Bloody Shad skirt wire tied in 1/4oz. I can't wait to get them in the water. Mike was extremely helpful in choosing the right colors and size for my area and sent them out on Friday and they got here on Monday! They look amazing! Great customer service. I hope to make some more orders from Seiberts in the future. Thanks Mike!

Spinnerbaits, Buzzbaits, Swim Jigs Only For Spring And Fall??? - What Are You Supposed To Use During The Summer?
I got a years worth of Bassin' magazine a few years ago and am reading them over again. I just saw an article by KVD where he states that while many people think of swim jigs as only spring lures, he likes them in the fall also. This makes it seem like he doesn't use them in the summer. I hear some folks on here say they only use spinnerbaits in the spring and same with buzzbaits. So if you aren't supposed to use swim jigs, buzzbaits, and spinnerbaits in the summer, what are you supposed to use????

If You Had To Choose......
At my cabin we tried everything we normally use and didn't catch anything. My friend said he had a banjo minnow and let me use it after he caught a few fish. I caught some fish and couldn't believe it. He said don't lose it, it's my only one. Well, then I went and lost it in a tree. I bought my own pack a few years ago and caught some bass on it. The Banjo minnow is a lot like a Zoom Fluke. I'd go with the minnow no doubt.

Why Do Folks Like Squarebills So Much?
I know squarebills get a lot of love on here. I've bought some and recently tried a Arashi square bill. It got stuck with weeds, so I tried it in more open water but no success. Just weren't biting that day. I have had a lot of success in the same areas with a Rapala Scatter Rap Shallow and lures like Wiggle Warts though. Are square bills more for wooded areas? I fish lakes with almost no trees in them.

Savage Gear - Reviews, Videos, Etc.
I know some posters on here have gotten them. I think the review was supposed to be done by July 15th. I did mine before July 15th and it's on here, but I haven't gotten anything yet. Hopefully I will though! I love these frogs.

What Buzzbait, What Size, And With Or Without A Clacker?
Well, I just ordered two Cavitrons, a white one and black one in 3/8's. White in day time and black at night?

Wacky Rig Hooks
I don't think Trokars are. And they did poorly in a Field & Stream hook test.

Yamamoto Swim Senko - Good Trailer Choice ?
A poster on here recommended this as a swim jig trailer. I tried 2 of them. First cast a fish nipped the tail off of one. Second one has caught 3 smaller bass and is still going strong. I want to switch trailers though to attempt to catch bigger bass.

Bad Batch?
I read Trokads bent over in a Field & Stream hook review I believe.

Most Amazing Day Ever! - Success With All 3 Of My Top Lures! - With Pics
So I pulled into the landing today at a local lake. It was overcast with almost no wind. Perfect! I was planning on fishing by myself for an hour and 1/2 and then picking my brother and his friend up at the dock. I talked to a fisherman pulling in and he said, "Second lake we've fished today. Horrible luck all day long at both lakes." I said, "You should try Ragetail Toads and Senko's near the docks." He said, "I did! I've been fishing this lake for 10 years. He wished me luck and we parted ways. I got out there and immediately caught 2 nice bass on a Ragetail Toad during the retrieve and then a Senko. After that it was nothing for an hour. I then picked up my brother and his friend and went to the opposite side of the lake about 100 yards from the landing. I cast my Ragetail Toad and absentmindely retrieved it toward the boat as my brother fished a Senko and his friend used a Spro frog. As I was about 10 feet from the boat there was a pretty good strike and it must of missed. I had slack in my line and didn't feel anything. I looked down into the water near the boat and saw about a 40" musky. I said, "Hey, look at that huge musky! It must of just missed my lure!" That's when I realized it was still hooked. It was just swimming near the boat not really moving at all because the hook was keeping it in place. I told them to grab the net and as they did the fish started to pull away. I should have opened the bail but instead let the fish pull out line with drag. My brother's friend then attempted to net it and I said, "The net extends." As he was extending it into the water and the net touched the fish's tail it gave one quick thrust of it's tail and blew my swivel snap apart. (Once again going to try to find some Mustad Fastach connectors). So, I was bummed about losing the fish which would have been my first musky but I was happy for the opportunity. It was thrilling. Especially to see him swimming alongside the boat. I'm also the kind of guy that would like to catch one good musky and never catch one again. They are slimy and cost you lures. I've caught so many big northerns in my life up in Canada that I've had my fill of slimy fish. Well, we traveled 2 docks down and my brother hooked into a big one on his Senko. I got the net and it was a huge bass. We weighted it at 4lbs. I released it. It's his PB largemouth bass. I removed his face of his job. As we fished down the shoreline and all caught bass we passed a kayak fisherman. After we traveled about 100 yards we heard him yell, "Hey guys, bring your net!" We looked and he was fighting a huge fish. I turned the boat around with my Minn Kota Terrova and went as fast as we could with the trolling motor. I didn't want to use the big motor. We got close and my brother netted him. We measured him at 36" inches and weighed 10lbs. The kayaker said he'd just moved from Florida and his friend said, "Use this lure and you'll catch muskies on this lake." The guy had never caught a musky before. It was a firetiger Rapala Clack & Rap. The musky was born with a deformed gill plate and appeared to have been caught and released before. We released it and went on our way. It was really cool being able to help the kayaker catch his musky. And I guess his friend was right! After that we caught a bunch more bass and I switched to a KVD Sexy Dawg in perch (my new favorite lure). I caught some more bass on it and even had 2 more muskies jump fully out of the water attempting to bite the Sexy Dawg. I couldn't believe it. Going from never catching a musky to having 3 bite in one day and helping a guy net one! They say musky are the fish of a thousand cast. So I guess we are really fortunate! Especially almost catching 3 musky on topwater and having one hit so close to the boat and not even knowing he was hooked. I also caught about 8 more bass on the Sexy Dawg and topwater is my favorite way to fish. We used Senkos, KVD Sexy Dawg, and Ragetail Toads and had great success. So, it was all in all an amazing day! Really blessed to have friends and family to share it with and be able to enjoy mother nature. Putting my boat away I did get ahead of myself and put my motor too low when backing my boat into my garage. I ground off about 1/4" inch of skeg. Ugh! I guess I can't have a great day without something going wrong. lol.

How Do You Quickly And Humanely Kill Fish?
I found the solution! I had to take apart this cheap storage bin and it was made with these 4 rods. I think they are steel. They are extremely heavy, yet thin. I tried it on 3 bass and it killed them with one small whack. Apparently by being thin they get quite the whipping action and momentum even though they are very small. They don't need a huge smack, just a quick, small hit and it's all over. Perfect. No huge hammer or bat. Just a small thin, heavy rod. It's probably about 12" long and easy to store....and cheap!

When Do You Choose A Rage Rig, T-Rig, Or Jig Over The Others?
A weighted or unweighted T-Rig?

Awesome Video I Hope To Be Like This Man In The Future!
I think many people connect fly fishing to trout and don't venture far from that.

When Do You Choose A Rage Rig, T-Rig, Or Jig Over The Others?
Obviously Rage Rigs, T-Rigs (specify weighted or unweighted T-Rig), and Jigs have their place. When do you choose a Rage Rig, T-Rig, or Jig over the other? And out of those 3 what percentage do you use each?
