Owner for me, purely for that centering pin on the screwlock. God bless centerin pins.

Better Hooksets?
I highly doubt a mere 6" increase in rod lengh is going to solve the issue. I think your problem may lie with the jig or line. If the jig has a weedguard, try trimming a few strands off to make it less stiff. Use braid or fluorocarbon for less stretch in the line when jig fishing

Guaranteed To Catch Bass
In the world of fishing, there is no such thing as a "guaranteed catch". If you arent catching them, use another bait, or use a different worm. 3lb bass should have no problem hitting a senko of that size though. If you want to downsize, try thinner worm in 3-4" size

Berkley Lightning Rod - Shock Series
im pretty sure someone has made a rod "shattered into many pieces upon hook set" for every production rod out there. Can't say for sure if its operator error or factory error, but if it seems to happen to less than 5% of the rods, its fine. A friend of mine owns the normal lightning rod, not the shock, and he only uses it for bait fishing. He has landed multiple 30lb carps with that thing, so I think its fairly durable.

Yamasenko -- I Lost Two Bass
senkos arent the most durably baits, so if a fish grabs them in a wrong way, or if you rig it a certain way, they get pulled apart easily. sht happens.

Spinnerbaits
most popular size is probably 1/2oz, with big willow and small colorado blade. rod depends on what kind of spinnerbait you fish, and where you fish it. If you fish small spinnerbaits (1/8~3/8oz) shallow, medium light/medium power works well. If you fish big 3/4~1oz spinnerbaits deep, then use a medium heavy/heavy rod. Moderate fast or fast taper is usually used. You can fish them anywhere.

Megabass Vision 110 Jerkbait - Are They Worth The $$$
The fact that you are asking the question suggests that they are not worth it for you. Those are the kind of baits that are made for people who can afford to lose money, and tons of it, everytime they go fishing. What you are paying for isnt only the action. You are also paying a ton for the Megabass name, that killer paintjob, and the "Made in Japan". Oh and no, vision110s are not fragile. You dont slap wooden baits onto the surface right? You dont fish the vision110 around cover. Simple.

Savage Gear 4Play Opinions
In that kind of situation, I dont use either of them. I turn to my smaller, thinner soft swimbaits with paddle tails. I did try fishing the hardbait with weedless wacky hooks instead of trebles, and it sort of worked. I caught much less weed, but also less fish. Now my softbaits are rigged with an open hook jighead for dragging on the bottom, and my hardbaits are for waking and twitching near the surface.

are you fishing this beside weeds, on top of weeds, or through weeds? if you fish on top or along weedlines, theres no reason to use a texas rig softbait, unless the weeds come right up to the surface. Trebles give better hookup. If you fish through weeds, then you dont have an option but to use the softbait. Iv caught 3lb fish on the softbait, and I personally dont like it very much. The hook leaves 0 free gap, so the fish have to compress the plastic bait itself, instead of just pushing the hook up, to expose it. The fish in my area simply dont bite down that hard most of the time, and I dont hook them.

I dont know because I dont fish it deep, only in the top 2 feet. I would imagine it will catch as much weed as any other treble hook lure, because i dont see any reason why it wouldnt. What you can do, to reduce the amount of weed being caught, is to switch the hooks with wacky hooks with a weedguard. Hookup is going to suffer, but you do get less weed. How big are the fish there? The softbait arent good for smaller fish, because theres a lot of plastic for the fish to chomp down to expose the hook

I only use the hardbait version because the softbaits are pain to rig. The hardbaits also wake nicer than the softbaits, which is what im using them for.

Got A Fishing Line Question For Shore Anglers
Put different lines into separate plastic baggies? Even if you have multiple strands in a single bag and they tangle up, they should not knot together so randomly pulling against a strand in the bag will remove a single leader.

Is A Long Leader Okay? What Lb. Test?
there are many reason for a leader, and increased visibility is only one of them. If you are ok with fishing straight braid, it doesnt matter what kind of leader you put on, because if the fish bites with braid, theey'l bite with any other line. as far as length goes, it shouldnt be too long such that when you wind up to cast, your knot gets retrieved past the reel line guide. It also shouldnt be so short that you have to change leader after 2-3 reties, to save time. Personally I use 3-6 foot leader, depending on the type of line im using, and whether I want extra stretch for fishing treble hook lures.

How Do You Guys Cut Braid?
I use a pair of $1.60 Mustad braid scissors with serrated edge. Cuts 80lb braid without having to applying tension to the line
