  1. Licensed Land Surveyor. I get to be outside on most days. Get to fish a little too. Ronnie
  2. Geeezzz, I sure hate to hear a grown man whine about having to fish with "Johnny Morbid" rods and "Flooger" reels. Hey MOOK, I got a boat load of fancy Shimano reels and custom Loomis rods. I will trade you all of them for the pretty lady in the picture. Looks to me like you got it made there my friend. Keep on keepin on! Ronnie
  3. Catt nailed it. There have been more bass caught on Texas rigged plastic than all other lures combined. Forget everything else and get yourself a 7 1/2" Culprit Black Shad worm with a 1/8 oz bullet weight and throw it in the thickest sticks, bushes or lilly pads you can find. Cast into the cover and let the worm fall to the bottom. Let it stay motionless for 20 seconds or more. Then move it gently across the bottom and be aware of when it wiggles across a submerged limb or rock. My favorite presentation is casting onto lilly pads and letting the worm fall into a hole in the pads or off the edge of the pads. Keep doing this and you will not only catch fish, but you will gain a lot of confidence. JMHO Ronnie
  4. "What do you mean have I heard of this Low Budget Hooker guy? Why, he is a personal friend of mine. He even cooked dinner for me once." Hey that's pretty cool, I have had a brush with greatness. 8-) YEP! Great interview Russ, way to represent. Ronnie

Pitchin = Uncle Josh Black Widow eel. Swimmin & Bottom fishin= Uncle Josh #11 Frog Ronnie
  6. Try inserting the hook initially farther into the worm so you can slide the head of the worm farther up the line (above the hook eye) then you can texpose it farther down the worms body. Does this make sense? I think I just confused myself. If this sounds nuts I will post a pic. Ronnie
  7. You will not be disappointed, if you like fishing Senko's, Tiki stiks or wave worms you are in for a treat with ***. Best bait for the buck around. JMHO Ronnie
  8. Excellent answer! Me too. Ronnie
  9. I use a Loomis MBR844C (7' MH fast) for casting and swimming jigs and a Loomis FS905 Flippin stick (7-1/2' broomstick extra heavy extra fast) for pitching in heavy cover and dense vegetation. I love Jig fishing! JMHO Ronnie

  17. You should be able to get bulk spools of regular hybrid at most shops. Cabella's seems to have an exclusive franchise on the "Ultra Soft" but they sell it in bulk spools also. I have been using it more and more. Good line. http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/links/link.jsp?id=0030185119280a&type=product&cmCat=search&returnPage=search-results1.jsp&QueryText=ultra+soft&N=4887&Ntk=Products&Ntx=mode+matchall&Nty=1&Ntt=ultra+soft&noImage=0 Ronnie
  18. G-Loomis Jig&Worm rods covers an awful lot of rod choices. But if it helps if I could only have one rod it would be my MBR844C. JMHO Ronnie
  19. Carl, I'll fish with you anytime! These stories are much better when you can be there to see them in person. ;D Keep on Keepin ON! Ronnie
  20. You may want to consider a shorter 5' 6" medium rod. Especially if you do any bank fishing where back casting is a problem. Just a thought. Ronnie
  21. Good Job! Beautiful!! Ronnie
  22. Awesome fourbiz!! Beautiful fish and a great story! I hope when I catch my DD bass I don't just drag her to the boat. I want have to climb over something and swim few yards with a broken pole and fin in my ear. LOL ;D Good job! Ronnie
  23. BIG Thanks Glen from me also!! I used my BPS gift to load up a 3770 with Terminator jigs and tungsten drop shot weights. Ronnie
  24. Hey Carl, Congrats on the new boat! At least you didn't have one of those "the harder I push the righter I go" trolling motors. Ronnie
