  1. for what i am seeing it looks like this thread is about daiwa vs centrifugal instead of magnet vs centrifugal. Daiwa are not the only company with magnet brakes
  2. Tatula cast further.
  3. centrifugal. seems like more companies are switching to centrifugal these days.
  4. Dobyns by a country mile, in my opinion this is not even a competition. It would be more fair if you compare dobyns vs st croix, because i believe that dobyns make some of the best rods ever.
  5. good bite on the c-14 canal
  6. Nice, I wish I had a boat.
  7. Good gear set-ups, go catch a big one
  8. A IMX G.Loomis med-heavy 7 foot rod is perfect for you
  9. Pflueger Supreme MGX $99.95
  10. its in Vero Beach, its right next to lake blue cypress lake. Google It
  11. nop. A guy that was my friend 3 years ago has it but hes not my friend no more so i dont talk to him (personal) but im pretty sure he probably deleted them
  12. Those reels are gold. They last forever and are bulletproof. People here used them in saltwater for over 20 years without any maintenance and they still work like new. I have the BG15 and i love it. Its one of those reels that will last you a life time with very little or no maintenance.
  13. For soft plastic lures ill use a 3/0 worm hook, for live bait i only use 2/0 circle hook
  14. I like high quality rods, and my favorite blank by far is the G.LOOMIS blanks, i just think that the quality are superior. They also use split cork and full cork rods but i personally like split cork because its looks good to my eyes and i basically want a stick with reel seat and fuji guides because it looks cool to me. it doesn't affect performance, but its a preference thing. Most freshwater rod companies are switching to split cork exclusively but you still have some companies with their full cork traditional rods. But your right about some companies that are on the higher end that sell full cork that are lighter than other split cork companies.
  15. I got it on a place called lake charles in port st lucie. the bass was twice as big as the one he caught. my friend said it looked like a baby whale. I cant go back to that place because its a gated community. i got it on a 15 inch worm with fluorocarbon line. I will never forget that day. I am trying to sneak back into that community but im scare that a security will come and arrest me for trespassing
  16. Seaguar, The inventor of Fluorocarbon
  17. You right about that, but Weight saving and they still cheap rods with full cork on them.
  18. Yep, I am buying one for sure.
  19. I never said i don't believe it. I don't think you get what i am saying. I caught a bass that it looked like a little whale and my cheap scale said that it was 8 pounds, but its was like over 15 pounds. So now i am investing in a good scale.
  20. I wish i had that scale 3 years ago when i hooked on the biggest bass in my life. I bought a cheap scale and kicked myself in the balls. That scale said that bass was a 8 pounder, but it was like twice as big as that one you have. So now im investing on a good scale.
  21. yep. that's your best bet, manuals are extremely helpful and come in handy. Also search on-line if other people even had the same problem or look for videos on YouTube on taking apart that reel
  22. most reels are good to go right out of the box
