  1. So if I understand your review, the "heavy cover" jigs are not appropriate for heavy cover?
  2. Keep your head down and watch your 6. Make it back safe. This really gives some perspective to things with the 4th of July coming up.
  3. Well, I guess you're on the water now. Hopefully you figured things out. You could also try a buzz-bait, especially if there a is a little wind.
  4. That's pretty sweet. Any idea when the show will air?
  5. It all depends on how much is in my pocket and what I need. It could range from $5 to $75.
  6. That's a good picture.
  7. Uhh, I clicked your link and it took me to some sort of global business management site....
  8. Outstanding! Now I have a new excuse for not cathcing fish!
  9. The reflection is neato.
  10. Put on rain gear and keep going. Keep you rod tip lower in lightn ing...
  11. Good fish for a good cause.
  12. No but either cathcing a few more iwth the same lure or not catching any more with that lure can provide information as to what to do next.
  13. Those are going to be some great memories and stories.
  14. Good stuff. I read an article about service men and women in either Outdoor Life or Field and Stream a while back about fishing in Baghdad. I'm glad our troops have an opportunity to relax (if there is such a thing in a war zone) and be "normal" (again, if there is such a thing) while fighting and defending. Thanks for your service.
  15. That's a pretty cool picture. Thanks for sharing.
  16. Sometimes I briefly stop reeling due to the suprise of a fish hitting. When the line feels heavy, set the hook.
  17. I haven't used a trailer hook. However, I can tell you that the hook is very sharp out of the box and after catching fish on it. I have a hole in each of my thumbs to prove it!
  18. I believe Doug Hannon recommends turning it off....
  19. Is the drag slipping when you set the hook? Put some Megastrike on your jig.
  20. I could be completly off base here, but I think you would want to take into consideration whre the fish are/should be. If they are staging deep and would move up to feed, then I might cast shallow and drag deep.
  21. CJ- I am asking if the fish will return to shallow waters once the waters rise, or will they stay deeper. basser-You'll have to join us! There are only two shallow fish there now!
  22. Generally speaking, if a body of water (man made res.) is drawn down for a season and then returns to full pool the following season, will the bass that used to be found shallow (prior to draw down) return to the shallows? Or will those fish adapt to the lower water levels and stay there?
