All you so called "Fishermen or Anglers"...
I personally release the fish I catch. As for keeping fish, as long as you are within the law of your fish and game commission then do your thing.

Fishing the weeds...
Big bait...big fish.

shallow cover
I would kill for wood in the water right now. My water is so low it has taken that away from me. Also, the overhanging stuff is nice. Skip right back underneath it, especially when its hot and there is good shade.

What am I doing Wrong???
I feel your pain. Things have not been exactly prime for my style of fishng lately. My partner is catching some fish, although its not the 10:1 you refer to. At times I get rather frustrated. Two things that have helped with that feeling: 1) Recognizing that the conditions are severe and that no one else is putting up numbers; 2) Rum.

What brand reel?
Diawa (free) spinning reel primarily. Quantum (low end) bait casting reels primarily.

I cant fish deep! am i missing out.....
Can't or won't? Sometimes its very difficult to get out of our comfort zone and try new things. Especially if you are not seeing results immediately. However, I can certainly relate to your issue as I am currently facing a similair experience.

Berkley Blade Dancer
I would like to train my own army of beavers. I believe that after a few drinks I will be able devise a plan from them to cut down trees and posisition in the most perfect areas. I will then use the beavers to keep all others away from our spots. They will stealthly swim in and break of people's lines.

Berkley Blade Dancer
I am going to start wearing a tool belt and hard hat when we go out. Do you have an extension cord long enuf to reach the water? I have a few ideas.... :-? :-* :-* :-*

Fishing the weeds...
Unless the grass is poking up thru the water, you might try a lipless crankbait that ticks the top of the grass. When it snags, snap it up quickly and get back to reeling. Strikes may come on the snap.

Vick..............
Ah, but he put up fantasy numbers in Miami last year! Joe Horn isn't that old yet New coach, new team...he has all the makings of an 11th round pick!!

Berkley Blade Dancer
My results were the same as you guys (although I didn't catch any fish yesterday). The action in the water looked great. Almost made me think of a chatterbait. Not as intense of a vibration though, but it definately moved some water.

Deepwater Senko Fishing
I personally use a spinnign set up for all of my senko applications. I think you could fish deep with the baitcaster, however. Depending on the weight of the senko (or knock off), and how you have the reel set you may have to strip line. It will pull line on the fall on its own, just very slowly. I have been using bamboo sticks and they sink incredible slow. However, once at the bottom I would keep an eye on my line to see if it stopped going into the water as a gage for the bottom. Don't know if any of this will help or if I am complete off the mark here but good luck.

Berkley Blade Dancer
Anyone ever use or have success with the Blade Dancer? Had one in my box for about a year now. Threw it for the first time yesterday.

Vick..............
One if his co-defendants is supposed to take a plea agreement today and enter a giulty plea. Perhaps he is the first to roll. Hopefully he will be able to provide details that will take care of Vick. (I think I might draft Joey Harrington as a sleeper pick in my fantasy draft!)

Hook set help!!!
Unfortunately, those sound like things we have learned in the last two tournaments..... Whoa! didn't even think about that! Nice Work on referencing real life, money costing experiences! :-*

Hocust Locust...how do you retrieve?
I have one, but use it rarely. I got it a few years back when the locusts were pretty bad. I have reeled slowly and quickly. With the slow retrieve, there was a pretty good wobble. Seemed to have better action than a fast retrieve. If there are locust on the water, I'd say observe them and see what action the real deal has and when the bass hit it.

Hook set help!!!
Check your drag to make sure your line/reel doesn't slip when setting the hook. Be careful of the fish swimming at you, it make take the tension/pressure off the live and make it easier to throw the hook. Don't let him jump.

food in a fish's stomach...
I haven't heard of that, but I'm sure someone has. I personally wouldn't care for someone sticking their finger down my throat until I vomitted, however.

Need advice on weird situation.
Perhaps they are beginning to get conditioned to the lure. Perhaps they moved. Perhaps the barometer changed. Perhaps the light or water clarity changed. Coul dbe a number of things. Did you: Try any different lures? Catch fish at another area with the same or different lure?
