Yep lake casitas is closest but no good from the shore you need a boat and if you don't rent a boat there a inspection for quagga mussels and you can't put your boat if for 30 days or something like that anyways. Not sure what your best bet is... Good luck

I personally don't really like any of gary yamamoto hard baits with the exception of the popper. But then I bought another popper that was the same size and color and it didn't work right so save your money and get SK or Spro or LC or Megabass baits.

I snatched some up too and they look awesome!! my buddy has some and we fished trinity lake CA with them and he caught a few. I was using crosstail shad and doing just as well but those clone frys looked so good at that price I had to get them!

Another couple rods you might look into for swimbaits is the Phenix inshore 7'7 ML or Abu Garcia volatile 7'9 M. Haven't owned either of the others..

I have a Curado I and I love it looking to get a Citica I soon.

I'd start using sunline fc sniper. 12 pound is a great line and I've used it and it's excellent.

I'd try and get a shimano reel and a decent possibly on sale rod..

Wow I probably only use 5 pks a season possibly 10... I guess I use a lot of other drop shot baits too. Like jackell, pro worm, zoom I probably go thur about 20 or so of jackell

I fished sand hollow in Utah from the shore a couple mouths back and a senko was the hot ticket if I had even a kayak I know I could have caught more tho.

I always try to buy my fishing stuff when it's one sale and I shop eBay and Craigslist and the flea market for used rods and reels. Although I occasionally buy a new rod reels I almost always buy used.
