I was so glad when my truck had 1/4 of a tank in it, and I filled it up for only $20. When gas was $4 a gallon, it would have been outrageous!

Agreed! I'd love to see some of that deer jerky when it's ready. We're hoping to get some in the freezer also.

Welcome aboard! It's probably the water temperature heading downhill. It always shuts them down around this time. You can catch fish, just fish slowly.

Bass can be caught in any situation, you just have to know where they are and how to get them to hit, even when they aren't hungry for anything. I caught a bass in a 4 ft section of unfrozen lake, and the rest was frozen solid. Any time during the week when it is warmer than usual can be killer to catch them. Just remember to work slow.

Yeah...it's crazy! I think West Virginia has one of the highest gas taxes in the country - it's like 40 cents or something. California has the highest tax at 67 cents. West Virginia is at 41 cents. My state is the 6th highest at 56 cents. Alaska has the lowest - 18 cents. The average is 48 cents. How are they doing so far?

Hey guys, I caught some trout the other day, and three out of four had the eggs in them when I cleaned them. I've heard that these eggs, especially when used at the same place, can be deadly. However, I need some of the clear mesh netting to keep them on the hook. Anyone have any idea where I can get them? Thanks! Aaron
