  1. Just like an Oklahoma fan to choose and predict so poorly!
  2. Maaaaan. It's still $1.79 around here. We're really getting ripped off on the barrel of oil to gallon of gas ratio.
  3. Sounds like a plan! I'd be up for it. I could see a lot of active participation, especially when the holidays die down and there is no fishing to do out in the cold.
  4. That was a great read. Thanks for posting this.
  5. Once in a lifetime! That's crazy!

  9. I didn't think we allowed political posts.
  10. Ha ha! I want to go there after hearing the story. It sounds excellent!
  11. Promotion from within - great idea!
  12. I fry them, and I have some information on another older post on how I do it. I'll repost it for you. "Troutfisher's Easy To Make, Easy To Use Trout Recipe" Ingredients: Number of trout desired to fix Fish batter Cooking Oil Large pan Pair of tongs for removing and turning fish Step 1: Get however many trout fillets you wish to fix. When cleaning fish, clear out inside of fish and remove head, tail, and fins, leaving only skin, bones, and meat. Step 2: Thoroughly rinse fish in cold water. Step 3: Roll fish in fish batter mix, inside of the fish and out. Step 4: Heat oil in pan to medium/high heat. After oil is warm, put 2-3 fish fillets in the skillet (depending on however many fish can fit in the pan) Step 5: After fish have cooked and are crispy, remove from frying pan and let oil drain from them. Here's the trick! Step 7: Before eating the fish, grab the backbone of the fish and peel it out. This will take out most of the bones, without the mess of having to do it beforehand. Be sure the fish has cooled before you try this. Step 8: Enjoy!
  13. That's Bill Stewart. 8-) I don't think they were "ruined" before Weiss got there, they were still able to qualify for several big name bowls and play some quality football. Now, they're losing to teams they never should have even had to think about.
  14. Thanks guys! I would have practiced catch and release, but I tried to free the deer. It didn't run off like I expected. So, I kept it.
  15. That's a great thing Sears is doing. I heard about this in an e-mail forward before, and it is a reminder of why we should support them.
  16. It's about time! This joker ruined a powerhouse football team and turned them into the laughing stock of college football, especially with the loss to the 'cuse.
  17. Ha ha! They haven't stocked any of the public ponds or streams around here, and won't until January. Hey, I'm trying! ;D
  18. Good point. Hopefully he still has his buddy with him. 8-)
  19. Wal-Mart is definitely at fault here. What a terrible story and situation. The workers should have planned on a holiday rush and had a game plan prepared to keep the flow of traffic going smoothly throughout the morning. It is very tragic that someone had to die for workers to find this out.
  20. Hey guys! Haven't been too active around the site as of late, but I plan on being around more this winter when things slow down outdoors. I just got in from checking in my deer! I was able to get a pretty good sized doe this morning after several days of hunting. I was on the lower side of a flat, with a hill behind me, as well as several deer paths on it. I had been in the woods about an hour when I heard some noise behind me. I turned around slowly and saw what appeared to be only one deer. I spotted the deer in very thick brush, and knew it was going to be a hard shot. I was able to sight in on just the body and fire. It was the best I could do for the scenario. I shot, and two deer went rolling down the side of the hill. I thought at first that I had shot two deer, but the deer on the right took off. The deer I had shot tried to get up, but could not. I had not hit directly in the vital area, but instead towards the hind legs. I fired another shot in the vitals, and it fell permanently. Not a buck, but it's meat in the freezer, nonetheless. Here are some pictures! Thanks for looking guys, appreciate it! -Aaron "TF"
  21. I think approaching the guys in a mature fashion is the best route here, because if you don't even give them a chance to talk about it, you'll be defeating any way of working it out. Just tell them what you think in a good way, and they'll probably listen.
  22. Depends on your stream type, 5 feet is a good sized rod for small to medium sized streams. If you go for a bigger stream, you're gonna wanna upgrade to maybe a 6 or 6 and 1/2 foot rod. Your setup now sounds good. Let us know how you do!
  23. Hey guys! I've been living up to my screen name the past few weeks. I haven't posted any of my results, but I finally have some time to sit down and post on what I've caught. I've fished a pay lake near my house 3 times for trout, and have come up pretty good. The pay lake is Catfish Cove down in Milton, WV. I have used a variety of techniques on these fish, ranging from weightless wax worms to black jigs three feet under bobbers. Here are some pictures for you guys! Thanks for looking, and tight lines this winter guys! -Aaron "TF"
