I'd say wait until spring...of course, you could start it up as early as March when the BassResource.com caravan heads South to Lake Fork. Perhaps you could do your challenging there with other members? I know that I will be lucky if I can go on Saturdays to fish. After school fishing isn't an option any longer due to Daylight Savings time and daylight only lasting until 5:45.

West Virginia...one of the most stereotyped states in the Union. No, almost all of West Virginia does wear shoes (NEWS FLASH!), and no one I know wears overalls and has a hayseed stuck in their mouth. West Virginia is also thought of as a huge redneck speaking state. Right now I am watching some ducks swimming around in the watering hole. Previously, there was some kind of animal that resembled a gray deer with large straight horns chasing the ducks around. It didn't stay long.

What he said... Seriously though, join a club, get involved. Subscribe to Bassmaster magazine and read some articles in it. If you meet some tournament fishing buddies, ask them what they do to consistently boat fish.
