  1. Spend it on a used pickup truck and truck camper to get me around, now that I have my learners permit. That way also, I can get to the mountains to do some serious trout and bass fishing. Nothing like a week of fishing and camping in the mountains of West Virginia.
  2. I never have filleted a bass, but when I catch trout, I usually either deep fry them in batter and eat them with a little ketchup. Very good. Also, a healthier alternative is to just put the fillets of trout (or bass) on the grill with a little lemon pepper.
  3. Welcome aboard the best fishing site around!
  4. I have one person that always informs me that fish cannot sleep, and that minnows are not actually fish. This drives me absolutely crazy, as neither of these are true!!! Nah, fish sleep. Keithscratch nailed this one on the head.
  5. My grandpa. He's fished ever since I can remember. The first time I went fishing, it was behind my grandparent's camp in a small stream. I had a bobber and nightcrawler on, and on the first cast, I caught a brook trout with the help of my grandpa. Boy, I love fishing with him.
  6. This is the way that I handle small catfish and sea catfish. However, whenever I catch one about 5 lbs or bigger, I put my hand in their mouth and hold their bottom lip firmly.
  7. Hey, great job LBH!!! Checking in from surf fishing for a week. Fishing's been great here so far; I'll have a full report once I get back. I'm actually on a friend's laptop now, so better go, but again, great video!!! Troutfisher91
  8. It is legal to stock fish in private ponds here in WV. My friend's family goes out on their boat to a large river and catches channel cats and releases them into their pond....It seems to not be a big problem. As long as you don't bring anything foreign to a pond or other body of water....
  9. Here's a small turtle that I caught a while back. Not a snapper, but something similar. This kind of turtle doesn't bother me as much as a snapper would. I've caught several snappers out of a private pond before...they can really damage a fish population. >
  10. It works for me, Glenn. I think it's another job well done.
  11. You're calling a 11.5 lb fish a small one?! That would beat the state record here! :-?
  12. Lots of large turtles as well here. The owner of a pond here instructed me to kill them.
  13. Live bait is a must for first time fisherman.
  14. Actually, I'm having this problem as well. I'll get a fish hooked but then immediently lose it.
  15. That's the way with my 3 and 1/2 lb PB.
  16. I'd safely say that I go about once every two weeks.
  17. How 'bout them Devil Rays?
  18. A 15lb fish would hit the state record on the head here....lol I chose that one, because I prefer a good fish over smaller ones.
  19. Sounds pretty good, but haven't used it myself.
  20. Maybe they think senkos are baby bass.
  21. I agree with LBH....nice.
  22. LBH....I'm going to the beach to surf fish next Friday. I will be taking a video then, but I don't think you can wait that long.......
  23. I would be in, but I never know when I get to go fishing, so it would probably have lag time with me, so I'll wait for a while.
