crawfish..
I was thinking about posting this same question earlier today actually. I think at 50 or 55 degrees in the spring and fall they molt (shed their shell) and are left with a red/orange shell until it hardens and turns brown again. I have seen blue in the fall and i have seen orange in the fall so I don't know exactly what they do or when.

What line do you use for flipping?
I wanted to try the new Trilene Flouro 17 or 20#. I was also thinking about trying yo-zuri hybrid on my flipping rod.

Has anyone read "Knowing Bass" by Ken Jones?
Every book and magazine seems to be the same ole thing over and over again, i still like reading them though because afterall it is about bass fishing but Knowing bass seems like it could be a welcome change for me. My question is does it really apply to fishing or is it about how fast a bass' heart beats and topics that won't help much?

Has anyone used the Trilene 100% Fuoro?
I am thinking about trying it out with some cheap mono as backing cause $20+ for 200 yds is a little crazy.

Classic Patterns Season 3?
I heard they were taping the 3rd season, does anyone know when it will be available on the website? I'm not sure i'll make it through the winter without a new season to watch.

Lake Fork Shad swim bait
Has anyone used these? I tied one on yesterday with a 1/8 oz weighted hook and I was really impressed with the action of it. I have only used it weightless in the past but the bait would turn on the way in and it didn't seem right to me but with the weighted hook it ran much better and casted farther.

stopping dropshot twisted line?
I had the same problem and starting using a swivel last year. I haven't noticed any difference in # of fish so i would say it doesn't matter. I also use a swivel with a tube.

Water Temp Question
I was fishing the CT river this past weekend in MA with a temp of 70 - 71 but the smallies weren't very active. Hopefully within the next few weeks they will turn on.

Line Snapping
I tried that last year and I wasn't a big fan. Now I have the P-Line 100% Flourocarbon and it doesn't seem to be much better. Alot of people seem to like the Yo-Zuri Hybrid line so i might give that a shot.

Line Snapping
Is Flouroclear the 100% florocarbon line? I've been using the 100% and I thought that was better than CX?

Line Snapping
top of the eye and the silicon spray removed the chalk like dust from the line and removes some of the memory from the line.

Line Snapping
This year I have switched to P-Line Flourocarbon and I have been breaking off more on hooksets than i remember in the past. I used the KVD silicon spray on the line when i put it on the reels too. I have been tying a polumer knot and making sure i wet the line before pulling it tight. I set the hook pretty hard and I can't really figure out why I have been breaking. Could it be because Florocarbon has less stretch? Sometimes it seems to break without to much effort though. Anyone else have this problem or any advice? Thanks

Hooks and Rust.........
I have couple dozen or so jerk bait that i've had for a while. The hooks on about 1/2 of them are pretty rusty, is there a way to prevent this or do they make stainless or rust free hooks i can replace them with? Also, is there a tool to use to get them on there? Replacing all those hooks by hand will not be fun.
-
Storing Hooks, Sinkers, etc
i use to use the plano boxes but hooks would rust in there eventually, moisture always seems to find a way in. Now I have them all in a plastic bag with smaller individual bags inside labeled by hook size and inside of the smaller bags i have them all in thier origional packaging so i know exactly what each one is. You won't have any issues with rust this way either.

Process of keeping fish?
I would say just go to the grocery store and buy fish, cleaning them is usually more work than it is worth.

Pork Jig Trailers
haha if you think its hard to get it on there wait to you have to get it off. I usually let them dry out and then cut them off with wire cutters.
