  1. 1 more day to sign up and make picks before event #1 kicks off. Who is everyone's pick to win this thing?
  2. 6 days left until we kick this thing off. Lets go!!!
  3. I think forward facing sonar has totally changed the way everything operates these days. History on a lake almost means nothing now.
  4. I saw Ben just caught a 13 pounder down in Texas. It's going to be exciting to see what he can do on tour this year.
  5. I've tried them in the past. Wasn't overly impressed with them. There's better pre-fabbed frames out there. I prefer the Hidden Weight and Signature head from LPO.
  6. Friendly bump. 35 days to make your picks. We've got 20 guys signed up so far. Lets try to double that number.
  7. 2024 thread has been made. 71 days to make picks still. I hope to see you all return.
  8. The time has come for the 2024 Fantasy Fishing season to begin. For those unfamiliar, we have been doing this for a few years now as a fun way to compete and have a little fun among all our members. Do you think you have what it takes to take home 1st place for the season? Group Name: BassResource Password: BR2024 We encourage all members to play along. Just pick your anglers prior to each BASS Elite event and share them (or don't) with the group. It's all part of the fun! Here is the link to the official website. https://bassmasterfantasy.com/
  9. If you have a picture of the spinnerbait skirt you're looking for, many of us could build them for you (myself included).
  10. On a 3/4oz frame, You can probably go with a #3 on the front and a #5 or #6 even on the back. Definitely a #6 if going with an Indiana blade. That's my personal preference.
  11. Are you looking for a keel weighted swimbait hook? Or an actual underspin with a lead head? There is a difference.
  12. I've seen plenty of guys post online about finding nice lures and being able to salvage them and fish them. But for me, all the lures I find are usually in poor condition and are basically un-fishable.
  13. You'll be fine for throwing squarebills, but if you were to throw any crankbait other than that or lipless baits, you would want a different reel with a lower gear ratio and probably a rod with a slower action if you're going to throw anything diving 8+ feet deep.
  14. 2023 Season Recap Champion - lmoore Runner Up - finessegenics And just like that, our 2023 season is a wrap. I'd like to thank all the people who played along this season and made this season super fun for all of us. I always look forward to talking with everyone before and after the events and seeing how everyone did. Having a large group of people playing along is what makes this group so fun. Huge shout out to @lmoore and @Finessegenics for taking the top spots in the group. They both almost managed to break the 11k points mark, which means they averaged almost 1100 points per event this year. Very impressive! We had a total of 51 people play along this year. Of that, we had 35 people who played every event, and 41 played 9/10 events. Overall, that's a pretty dedicated group of players and I appreciate all of you putting in the time to making picks for each event and playing along. They usually open up the new season around January, so keep your eyes peeled for my thread for the 2024 season around then. Hopefully everyone returns and then some. 15. Are we talking topwater? Because then the answer is always black.
  16. Another quick turn around event boys. Get those picks in!! We're getting down to the wire.
  17. The Accent Jacob Wheeler Finesse and the Crock-O-Gator are my second and third favorite buzzbaits. The Jamacia Boa is an interesting design and I've used it with some luck, but I honestly prefer a smaller profile buzzbait, so I would rank it fourth on my list.
  18. Friendly reminder - 8 days to make your picks
  19. Those new Rapala soft plastics look amazing.
  20. Hey guys, friendly reminder. 20 days til St. Claire. Make those picks!
  21. @Finessegenics You are truly in a league of your own this season. Keep it up and make BR proud! As already mentioned, we have something like 51 days until the next event on St. Clair. So I don't want to hear any excuses from anyone that you didn't have time to research your picks. We are 7 events into the season and have 3 left. As of now, here is our current top 10. 22. These dink fests are always a crap shoot. 1 pound can move you up 25+ spots.
  23. Doesn't hurt to sign up and play the remainder of this season. I guarantee you'll follow along more closely and learn a lot just because you have some skin in the game. With all that being said... Blast off is Thursday for the Sabine River. Get your picks in now!
  24. Shout out to nebass78. After 3 days, he's got the 1, 2, 3, 5, and 93rd place picks on his team. My team totally turned it around after day one. Matt Robertson jumped from 94th to 45th, and Scott Canturbury jumped from 43rd to 11th. Hamner has also moved from 29th to 8th currently.
  25. Friendly reminder guys - you have til Wednesday to get picks in for Lay Lake. It's a new lake for BASS, so this should be an interesting one.
