  1. LMAO....
  2. Welcome aboard wagn, join in or feel free to report whats going on for fishing in your part of the state. baboosicbass08 Lizards would definitely work althought I think it might be a tad early for Carolina Rigs. If I were you Id get a 6in green pumpkin lizard Texas rig it with a 1/8-1/4oz bullet head sinker and fish that around spawning flats, and on the first dropoff from those spawning flats. I think the Bass are either in the process of spawning now or are already done in most waters in the state, especially in the southern part where I am. Hope that helps, lemme know how you do.
  3. Nice Lunker there "theres no bad fish" Top waters I think by far are the most entertaining way to bass fish hands down.
  4. The drilling in Alaska would presumably take place in an area that would not affect any of the wildlife. If you believe that I got ocean front property in Az to sell you too. Plus oil isnt a sustainable resource its going to run out at some point in time. Granted we are still going to need some sort of home heating fuel for people in the northern climates of the country. I think if we could change out automobile fuels from fossil fuels to a more sustainable/renewable fuel we would be better off in the long run. Just my thoughts...
  5. It does doesnt it. Make you wonder. I saw a PBS special on Hydrogen power. Very interesting stuff. The only exhaust/emission form this type of energy being water. How greener than that can you get? The fuel if I remember right was nearly next to nothing price wise to charge/fill a car. The funny thing is that if Hydrogen is so great why exactly are they pushing these Hybrid cars on us that still use gasoline? They are priced so high youd have to drive it practically till the wheels fall off to see any kind of savings on your initial purchase. It doesnt seem to fully solve the problem. I mean the technology is out there its just not being utilized. The other thing is that there are virtually no moving parts in a hydrogen powered car. That should be a savings for us consumers that replacing parts wouldnt be as much of an issue. If the powers that be actually cared what was going on we would of had this option by now. Instead for the last 30yrs or so we have seen the powers that be do almost nothing because of special interests and lobbyists. I mean if we can figure out how send a man to the moon within 10 yrs, I think we can figure this out. It does make me think that nothing on a national level will happen until someone figures out a way to make it more profitable to do something else. Its all about money. Sad thing to me is Iceland is doing it why cant we? I also recall that Brazil doesnt import hardly any foreign oil. Back in the 70s they signed a resolution to get their country off foreign oil. Well now they grow sugar cane that handles pretty much all their power needs. So if the US is so great and powerful, why cant we make this happen? Here is a little video on it from .
  6. Wow good work Bassmaster6! I was out yesterday for a few hours after work. I caught all my fish in 4ft or shallower. I saw signs of beds but no fish on them, I think they were just fanning. I pulled a few LMs off of some shallow docks and one 3lb SM cruising a shallow flat. All the fish came on soft plastics texas rigged with a 1/8oz weight. I also this week fished Mass water for the first time. I fished Flints pond in Tyngsboro. I had a decent one on but didnt get a good hookset on him, he ended up coming unbuttoned at the boat. This was an after work trip in my friends boat. I ended up getting some on jigs and a floating jerkbait. The Crappie were hiting the Floating Jerkbait as well which was kinda cool because I dont get to see much of them were I fish unless I get them in Canobie. Well keep up the good work guys, how is everyone else doing?
  7. That may be a practical way for you while being a student but when you go to college and get a job things will be different. I live in an area where public transportation is not an option and I have a shorter commute than most. I couldnt fathom trying to ride a bike in through a New England winter. Alternative fuels are the way to go for sure. As many have previously stated its not likely to happen any time soon. Its going to take allot of money to reconstruct the infrastructure to support some other kind of fuel. Nobody is going to do this for free.
  8. Josh Beckett 7-0 this season. Wow I am very impressed. Go Sox!
  9. Couldnt agree more and if your fishing the great lakes hold onto your rod, I hear the smallies are climbing all over these type baits...
  10. 7lbs 11oz black rubber skirt jig uncle josh #11 pork trailer. Hey Im sorry I live in NH! :-[
  11. Hahaha Hi Jim, my name is Eric and I am here for you I have been down that road...
  12. When it comes to decking Id go with a non cordless drill/driver unit I have a Milwaukee works great Id also suggest getting the torx type screws over the Phillips. but for regular house hold projects you'd be fine with an 18v model.
  13. Ehhh, Its still way to early, Period. Yankees have more than ample time to turn things around and catch up. Clemens will help them out but the AL East is allot harder to pitch in compared to the NL Central, thats a fact. As for Roger going to NY it was a pretty much a no brainer. The NYYs pitching staff was in shambles at best. He signed with the Yankees so he could feed that over inflated ego of his. The "Roger comes to the Yankees Rescue" headlines. Also dont over look the fact that his $28 mill 1 yr contract, makes him the highest paid player in MLB history. Yes its true he had to best Arod's contract by $1 million. Other than that go Red Sox 8-)
  14. I usually dont have allot of colors on hand for spinnerbaits I try to keep that simple. I think I might have fished the Wilton reservoir. I forget what the water was like though, is it a little stained like a whiskey/ice tea color or pretty clear? If it has a tinge of color to it I fish an all white or a chartreuse and white spinnerbait, if the water is pretty clear I'll go with a silver and black/ shad color or a gold and black/shad color spinnerbait. Dont overlook using jerk baits or rattle traps either. Hope this helps good luck and tight lines...
  15. Yankees do own more series titles no doubt in arguing that. Will Clemens help NYYs out?, of course, hell I think they were getting bat girls and bat boys up in the pen to pitch an inning of relief a couple times. Do I think that NYY have an automatic ticket to the WS, thats a no. There needs to be some big changes in that rotation and allot of guys getting healthy and the bullpen to get some rest. It as always will be an interesting year. The Sox and Yankees always seem to make it come down to the last week of the season. Speaking of history the Yankees do own the biggest post season choke in MLB history as well.
  16. Ben Try using a spinner bait, rattle trap, or a jerk bait on that wind blown bank. I think you will have more luck with that than your jitter bug this time of year. It sounds like it was some tough conditions out on the lakes this weekend. It wasnt that warm out well hey Im jealous I got to do yardwork then go to a Open House party. Next weekend is mothers day so that kills next weekend too. I might try to go out after work and do some damage across the state boarder into Mass.
  17. My thoughts go out to the family, Truly sorry for their loss.
  18. I am not going to be able to get out this weekend or next. I was wondering how you guys are doing? Any luck any big fish? Boy looks like its gonna be a great day out on the water, today.
  19. I think I need to let the water warm up around here to have this lure work properly for me. I was throwing it in around 50-55°F water. The tail was moving but I had to reel faster than I would think. The bait close to the boat would break the surface of the water. I think it was a little cold out for that plastic to move. You were able to see your breath at 3pm in the afternoon. I was fishing it with 17lb Pline on a 7 '6[ch733] flipping stick. Any ideas?
  20. The Big Yellow ones the SUN
  21. Well said. I couldnt agree more...
  22. Cobbetts Pond Windham NH, take a look at it here. It is private as in no public access, but its a great little lake.

  25. Sunday the 29th. Easily had my best day in a long long long time. The bite started early and stayed hot all day long. The key was to chunk and wind near any kind of shallow flat in 4-8ft of water. I think my partner for the day hates me although by regular standards he had a decent day. He boated 20 bass with them coming on Jerk Bait, Trap, Jig. I landed 61 yes 61 on Jerk Bait and Trap. All decent fish with the majority in the 2-3lb size limit. We had some bigger ones in the 3.5lb range. We had the lake all to ourselves except for a few trout fishermen. I saw another bass boat but I think he left due to the showers. I had to pry myself off the water if I wasnt house sitting and had a dog doing the "I gotta Pee Dance" I would have stayed later and tried my luck to run at 100. Unbelievable so my thumb is tore up and I couldnt be happier, great day hope you guys loaded the boat like I did.
