  1. GO PATRIOTS!!! ps: Please stay injury free for the season and the playoffs...
  2. This is more for Glenn and the Admins, than anything. I try and go back each monday and view my previous posts and look for replies, that anyone might have made over the weekend. When I go into my profile view and do the last 5 or 10 posts made by myself, they are not the exactly the last posts I have made. Any thoughts or feedback would be very helpful cause I sure cant remember what I replied too last friday.
  3. Nice lookin baits. Love the first one down on the left, that shad color is dead on. Do you do repaints?

Very Nice Whittler. I do have to get those rattle traps to you for a repaint.
  5. Nice lookin Jig GMAN. you ever think of making them with silicon skirts as well?
  6. I have been told 2 totally different stories by 2 different well experienced people, so now I ask you people. I have a custom 7' M-MH Spinning rod that has a relatively short Tennessee handle on it. I recently started using this as a soft jerkbait rod for Striped Bass. Well the long rod and relatively short handle made this an extremely uncomfortable rig to use all day chunking and winding. So is it possible to remove the Tennessee handle and replace it with a regular screw lock handle? If so great and if any of you offer that service even better.

You may want to check out Cabela's I think they had some of the blanks in their Bargain cave section of their website. Good luck.

You get the Gold Star for the day. Classic.
  9. Giving due credit where credit is due. "Here's Your Sign Reloaded - Bill Engvall" From the popular BLue Collar Comedy Tour...
  10. Couldn't agree with you more...
  11. No problem glad it worked out for you. I must admit I love seeing those bass come up and explode on top water too...
  12. I just recently bought some of these Frogs, the Dean Rojas Spro Frogs. I was pretty excited to use these as I dont have allot of areas to use them where I fish. So I line it up with 40lb braid and rig it up to a 7ft 6in rod and start casting. My first outing I was extremely disappointed in it. I caught two fish of decent size 2-3lbs, the upsetting thing is this. After releasing the second fish the intricate color detail on the frogs body that I thought was dyed in/ molded in, is only painted on. A good portion of one side of the frogs body is all peeled off. I usually dont mind much on occurrences like this but these frogs are upwards of $8-$9 each. Id just hope that the product being that expensive wouldn't fall apart after the second fish I caught on it. I guess Im just a little disappointed and needed to vent.
  13. Well soft tip usually refers to the first 20% of the rods actual length. With a flexible "soft" tip the rod is able to cast allot easier/more precise of hitting small targets. It also allows some cushion to when a bigger fish is making a hard run close to the boat. Now the remaining 80% of the rod should have a good stiff backbone to it. This will help drive home the hook, and allow you to move the fish out of heavy cover if necessary. You might want to try tightening your drag some, you could have it to loose and too much line is stripping off before you load up your rod. Another thing might be trying a line that has less stretch in it. Hope this helps...
  14. Hey Bassmaster6 I havent been out much as of late. was out for a few hours on Sunday with the Girlfriend but she got too hot and wanted to go in. I did catch 3 in about 2.5hrs time though, and 45 mins of that was towing a fisherman in distress who lost his prop to the trolling motor, back to the launch. As for Kingston Lake I personally havent fished it in sometime but I always see that its got boats on it from the traffic at the launch. I hear its a pretty good fishery with some decent size fish. For fishing later in the day closer to dusk I like to go to a topwater lure for those bites at dusk. Try a ChugBug, JitterBug, Hula Popper. I have good luck with those. Good luck and tight lines all.
  15. I like my PATRIOTS chances. This of course, will all depend om injuries and whether or not they can ink a deal with Asante. If they get him signed and stay healthy, I see them making the playoffs and going deep. I mean last yr R. Harrison was injured the last game and Brady had no receiver talent to speak of, and they made it so the AFC Championship game. Go Patriots!
  16. Double check on you electrical connections before you go out. Doesnt matter if the seas are only 1-2ft the salt water spree reaches everywhere. Also check your trolling motor mine is a Minn Kota that is specific that it cannot be used in or near salt water. The shaft is made out of Magnesium and will sure to corrode faster than you can say "OOOPS". I had a friend who took hit boat out in the ocean/tributary and the electrical components have never worked right since. Trolling Motor connection, Fuel gauge, Trim, Nav. Lights, Trailer Lights. Proceed with Caution.
  17. Ahhhh Salvation at last. I was running out of things to do on the down times here at the office. Glad to see the site is back up and better than ever. Thanks again Glenn and all of you who had a part in it.
  18. I know one thing when I was fishing a local river 100yards of red Cajun 12lb test didnt want too disappear from the prop of my Trolling Motor any too quickly thats for sure...
  19. Great job guys as usual.
  20. Well years ago the State of NH gave the ramps/launches back to the towns in which they are located. The state didnt have the resources to manage all of the ramps on every lake, pond, and river. It is the towns that have control over these accesses to local water, not the state. So in turn you have state funded stocking of trout going into lakes that the average fishermen cannot access. The state doesnt have any "Lunker Program" and just by its size limits and catch dates manages bass Naturally. We do have pay launches here too. One of them being an expensive $30 each launch, this because the town and lake association "Closed" the Public Access and put up No Trespassing Signs. I eventually foresee the state having trouble selling Fishing Lic, because the amount of water open to fish is ever shrinking.
  21. Here is an Open Letter from a friend to BassMaster Magazine, in response to "Larry Smith's Future In Balance" in the Mail Call section of the Magazine. I am not to familiar with how some states work but I am familiar with how NH does things. What is becoming the norm here is Public Ramps to local lakes and ponds staying as a public launch, however the Town asked by the lake association puts up "No Parking Signs" or "Parking for Town Residents Only". These ramps are still considered public but now you have no place to park your rig. The bigger slap in the face is that since these Ramps are considered public and in turn the lake as well, the state goes ahead and stocks these lakes. This is becoming the norm here in NH with the fishermen having to travel farther and farther to find ACTUAL Public Access. This infuriates me and fellow Bass Fishermen here in NH.

  23. Looks like the Sox are bringing back Schilling real slow. He threw a 20 pitch session the other day and he has 2 starts with their minor league team in Pawtucket. They dont need to rush him back Kason Gabbard had a 3 hitter complete game last night. Sure and steady its also nice to see Manny and Big Papi start to hit the way we are used to seeing them hit. Go Sox!
  24. Remember when you were kids try and put the square peg through the square hole? Same thing. Its simple its just 33 time wasting levels of square peg square hole. The question is. Are you game?
