No problem man search how to make a banner on YouTube and watch the video of the girl she explains how to make it the right size.

A water pump is a very very very easy change. I'm sure you could find a video showing how to do it and save a lot of money. Takes about 30 minutes.

Lews tournament mg $89 on eBay from American legacy fishing. 14lbs of drag 10BB aluminum frame little bigger spool and handle awesome reels for $89. I've ordered two and had no problems so no need to be afraid to order.

The veritas spinning rods are good I would suggest one but I am bias to abu garcia rods. Funny thing to me no one never says why the veritas isn't good. I knkw the first batch quite a few broke but that's fixed I don't know the excuses now besides they are on the stuff side. A vertias 2.0 imo is made 10x better then the $100 duckett.

I would say 3/8oz and pretty much anything besdides a football head style will work well for pretty much abything. The only jig I use is D and L baby advantage jig in 3/8. These can be bought in *** and are $3, they are made in kentucky. Oh yea a jig doesn't have to say "swim jig" on the package before you can swim it lol.

They may be intimidating at first but once you get them down you will never look back.

There is a more expensive reel the team lite. Is it better, yes maybe a little bit not worth the extra money. Imo any lews reel is a good reel. Unless your dead set on spending that much on a reel the lfs speed spool is excellent. The tournament mg is also on eBay for $89 I've ordered two.

Neither, it's a GREAT idea you will lern a lot from him sounds like he will be a very expierenced fisherman. Sure it would be nice to win but you can't put a price on what you will learn. He asked you to fish with him so I'm sure he will let you know what he's doing and how to catch fish on that body of water. Good luck!
