  1. I have to say thats me also!
  2. So what's your style? Do you beat the banks? Not fish till you see something that peaks your interest on your electronics? Offshore? Shallow? Finesse? Power? what is it?
  3. Simple but very effective a lizard.
  4. I just hate that browning symbol everyone puts on there vehicle. The ones with a buck head and doe head? I hate that even worse.
  5. I would personally start at the inside weed line. If nothing is there go to the outside they still might be staged deeper and not moved up that far yet. You will get a lot better advice then that though that's just what I would do, Goodluck at your tournament!
  6. Sounds like to many knots to me on light line.
  7. Thanks for the reply I wabder when that swimbait will be out? Exactly what I need.
  8. I didn't think it would be hard to find a big hollow body swimbait, but I didn't see none on tw unless I over looked them.
  9. That's to pricey for me. Thanks I'll check it out.
  10. Looking for some big hollow body swimbaits and creature baits something like a brush hog. Preferabely 8" and bigger, I searched a ton couldn't find nothing.
  11. Yea I agree I have two of these for spinnerbaits and that kind of thing.
  12. If I was you I would look for a first series veritas. They usually can be found around $70, or a halo daylight is a nice option.
  13. I use a bps crankin stik 7' m and a lews lfs speed spool its a nice combo.
  14. The 2.0s are supposely made better they are all I use they look to be made alit better then the first ones imo. Just make sure if you get a Rod from a store look it over good they are rough with them. I bought a new 2.0 about a week ago I had to look through like 10 to find one that looked like it really was brand new.
  15. When my friend says he will out fish me but all he does the whole time we are out is get hung or say "get us closer to the bank I can't cast that far". Oh yea he uses like 30lb hi vis catfish mono that looks like a slinky I don't think if a whale hit it he could tell.
  16. The only real kind of offshore stuff I fish in my lake is brushpiles. Do you have a sonar go find brushpiles are off shore cover? I would fish a jerkbait over top of these or fish a jig verly slowly through them. In the colder months when thee is no thermocline the fish will stage on brushpiles before coming up to spawn. Then when it gets warm the the thermocline forms and in my lake which sounds very similar to yours there is not enough oxygen to support fish on that deeper cover. They will stack on shoreline cover fhat provide shade and a sense of security. If you do not have a sonar to find the offshore cover pick apart shoreline wood with a jig. Don't just make a cast on each side of a downed tree fish every limb like it is its on piece of cover. It can take sometime to really pick apart a piece of cover, this time of year you really can't fish to slow imo.
  17. All I can ever find is yum dingers in the bargain bin. I did luck out and find some 7" ones.
  18. The lake I mainly fish is the same way, a lake you really just have to beat fhe bank. In the summer when the Suns out they will really hold tight to that cover for shade. When it's overcast they tend to hang looser on the cover. Just like jiggin said in the colder months they will hold extermely tight just like in the summer except here they are there for heat not shade. Look for cover that is differbt from the rest. An example is if there is a abundance of weeds in a area that all have a mud bottom then all of a sudden just in one little spot the mud changes to a type of gravely sand bottom there will be fish there. In my expierence bass love these areas with bottom changes.
  19. I just want to know where you are getting the speed spool for $80?
  20. Just get a regular back pack a lot cheaper just because there not a "fishing back pack" and a lot more durable.
  21. The veritas without a doubt. They have a frog series check it out.
  22. I never hear of no one using lews rods. You can't go wrong with a falcon thought good made rods.
  23. Was this Floyd county kentucky ?
