I cought something huge on one once! Me and my girlfriend was in the river in a small jon boat musky fishing and I was whizzing one as hard as I could cause it was a little light for my Rod. I was looking at my target and I heard SMACK I looked and it was buried in her head. Had to go the ER and get it cut out. So yea they work.

Nice fish man! Cave run is still a little to high and muddy for me. Guess I'll just stay out of the musky guys ways a little longer lol.

Read on here and watch videos on YouTube(bass resource). IMO bass fishing can be as simple or technical as you want to make it that's why it is so great.

I've heard good things out of the F&S rods. Just search the forum this topic has been asked a ton of times. I knkw you siad you didn't love it but the veritas is my suggestion.

I would say go with abu or loomis. All rods at that price range will be nice. Just that I'm sure there customer service is a lot better.Check out black river rods on musky shop.Veritas 2.0!Veritas 2.0!
