If it is a lake like ky lake they never stop there is always fish to be cought.
  2. But I don't want another pflueger lol.
  3. Anyone ever used this spinning reel? I can only find a few reviews but they are all positive. I was thinking about getting one for my shakeu head Rod.
  4. Thanks for the chuckle this morning.
  5. Does this give contour lines for every lake? Could someone tell me if it does for cave run lake in kentucky?
  6. I've had 6'6 mh for a while now it's been durable I use for poppers and 1/8oz buzz baits.
  7. I use abythibg I would in the day, but I really like jigs and spinnerbaits. A dark spinnerbait with a singlecclorsdo blade works great.
  8. You can't go wrong with either I have a mb and love it.
  9. I got one abd all my rods will be a lews before long. People might say I'm crazy but I fished a loomis and I like my lews Rod better.
  10. 1... Lews magnum custom speed stick 7'2" heavy/fast Lews tournament mb 8.3.1 3/8 oz DandL baby advantage jig okechobee craw, green pumpkin, black and blue Netbait paca chunk This does everything I like to do with a jig.
  11. Nice spots on that fish.
  12. It's not that bad here haha, but a lot of people confuse channel cats for blues here. Around the catfish spawn the channels get darker and there color does favor a blue cat and a lot of people noodle for catfish and they claim all the 2-3lb channels are blues. I know there not but you can't argue with these people lol. I don't even know Id there are blues in these small rivers but they sure think so lol. You can tell the differnce by the anal fin very easily a channels is more rounded and a blues is straighter I don't know if there to proud to admit I'm right or just to dumb to relaize lol.
  13. Stuff like this is so funny because a Mudcat is a flathead here lol. I find it so funny how different places have different names for things.
  14. I'd use 20lb braid with a 8lb fluro leader. Start out with a 1/8oz shaky head with a zoom trick worm I gurantee you will catch fish with this anywhere. Don't try to learn to many lures at once instead of mastering one you will just know how to fish each a "little", but this is just my opinion good luck.
  15. Berkely big game cheap and it's a great mono. This will work for abythibg go with 12lb.
  16. I like a high gear ratio to get them out of the thick stuff fastly. But imho a few inches difference in IPT won't make a huge difference unless your deep crankong then it will wear you out.
  17. I use a 7'm BPS crankin stick it seems a tad stiffer then most medium crankbait rods I really like it for squarebills.
  18. I seem to have the best luck on a 1.5 all year. usually use the neon bluegill pattern.
  19. The hook on the finesse model could possibly be a lighter wire hook then the standard. I don't know though I always use a regular football jig.
  20. Catch some minnoww from the creek and hook them like you would for crappie that will get you the LMB, cats, and hybrids. Just grab some wax worms for the gills from Wally world.
  21. I would have had a heart attack. I am terrified of frogs but nothing else don't make sense.
  22. I use a 7'2" heavy lews magnum custom speed stick(on the rod back by the but it' says short flipping stick) and a lews tournament mb in 8.3.1 it's a great setup. Sounds like this would work well for you too. I also cast jigs with it and carliona rig with it.
