  1. I was going to get a 7'mh for spinnerbaits but I did my math wrong with the discount and I didn't wanna spend that much lol.
  2. Took advantage of the 25% off and ordered two 7'mh fast action klx's for t-rigs/stand ups and a hat. Cant wait to get them, hope the hat fits my fat head lol.
  3. Thanks for the fast replies guys just eased my mind before dropping $200 on a new rod. And Dave im sure alot of the complaints I have seen is probably a "insurance" deal gone wrong not a warranty.
  4. Thanks guys that's the kind of stuff I was looking for im excited about getting one.
  5. Thanks, but want to hear it from customers not the owner he may be bias. Well I guess customers could be too lol. Have you had any major problems with kistler rods A-Jay?
  6. Has anyone had to use warranty on a Kistler rod within the last year or so? I don't care about when they had the problems I want to know about since then. I have handled a klx and really want one but the warranty scares me because its not long at all and I've heard horror stories. I'm a firm believer in if the rod has a defect it will show itself very quick, but if it does I want to be able to get it replaced hassle free, thanks.
  7. They both have there time and place. I only use fluorocarbon but I know a lot of guys on here use braid with fluoro leader. Braid pros - very castable and mangeable, no stretch, cuts through vegetation, and last a long time. Cons - hard to break off, visible, and lacks slack line sesnstivity. Fluoro pros - pretty much invisible, slack line sensitivity, lack of stretch compared to mono, sinks, and last a pretty long time. Cons - can be pricey and hard to manage sometimes.
  8. The abu Garcia black max and silver max are not bad little reels at all. You can buy Lews lfs speed spools for $80 all day off ebay. They have 10bb and an aluminum frame one of these reels would last forever if not mistreated.
  9. Thanks guys I've talked my self into getting two klxs lol.
  10. Anyone using these rods? How is their sensitivity, and quality?
  11. Go to backwaters fishing shop great store and people usually have some great deals, especially on rods.
  12. Hopefully there close to me someday. I doubt it though the closest lake they would be at would probably be 5 hours!
  13. So dobyns has a slower action also ? How much slower? So is the 735 more powerful or is it a little less but close ?
  14. They make a great musky Rod im sure there bass rods are nice also.
  15. Yea me too I just like to research before buying anything. Would you know how the powers of the two compare? Would a heavy fury be like a mh veritas ?
  16. I have 5 vertias's I like them just want to try something different.
  17. Hey guys got a couple questions. I searched the forums before hand and couldn't find my answer. So say I'm used to a 7' mh vertias would a 7' heavy fury be closer to a vertias's mh power? Also for you guys who have had both and fish mainly $100 rods like me how does the two compare senstivity wise? Thanks!
  18. If your fishing in a river cast upstream and bring your lure last current breaks. I perfer spinnerbaits or j-Mac swim jigs in a river just because there ability to come through cover.
  19. A brand new 18 foot stratos or triton with a 115 can be had for I think under 23k. But I like the new aluminum rangers awfully well particularly the 188.
  20. Beat me to it lol. I have it on dvr right now actually.
