  1. I think he mentioned on Facebook he was at Douglas State Lake. But judging by the Corps ice reports, there is plenty of open water to be had elsewhere too.
  2. Considered taking today off, but not in the mood to deal with 20-30mph winds anywhere. May end up taking Friday, though.
  3. I know it may be kind of out of the way, but you might try the storage spot at the four corners by Hillsdale. My dad has stored his boats there for almost 15 years now, and they are pretty reasonable with plenty of outdoor spots. They are private owners and may be able to cut a deal for that time frame.
  4. True story! Already have the plaque for my backseat made with Conor's name on it. Yeah, I did the same thing with mine. Originally was going to get the 53DV, then Conor talked me into the widescreen 7.3" 73DV at the last minute. Only way to do the Maps/DownVu split screen. Cheers to the 2015 season boys!
  5. 73DV w/ Lake Vu HD. Ordered it a week and a half ago, forgot that it's not actually available until 2/6. Patiently waiting
  6. Late report from Wolf Creek Saturday. Nice day, but like Coty said, it was tough. Million boats at the outlet, didn't see any fish there all day. Focused our effors in the trees and paid off (well, at least not for me). A buddy of mine and his wife were working the edges of the trees, and from a distance could see her outfishing him (and everyone), ten to one throwing a Shad Rap. All whites, but it's always fun watching a hot chick catch fish. All of us were throwing jigs in the trees, and my buddy caught the three fish of the day. Two biggest at 3.5, and 4.38#. Those two fish were on back to back casts too. Thought it was going to break the 5# mark for sure, but still a toad. Black and blue was the color. Still can't believe I got skunked but, it happens. - 4.38 Didn't make it to the boat show Sunday. Worked on spicing up my console/dash, getting it ready for my new Garmin unit. As well as cut the piece for my back deck extension. Ran to Cabela's for my RAM mount, and walked out with a new Lew's MH combo. You know how it goes.
  7. Tinberg just texted me. Gonna fish behind you guys around ALL day
  8. Welp, here's the usual weekend Wolf Creek roll call. Anyone else getting out tomorrow? I'll be there by 7:30. Probably gonna hit the sports show Sunday morning.
  9. Hahahaha-my thoughts exactly.
  10. Holy Buffalo, Batman! Gross.
  11. I think I'm gonna get up there with my dad
  12. Yeah I mean, unless everyone chooses Stockton for the weekend of April 3rd, we're pretty much out for the get together...but I'm just using this Johnny's get together as an excuse to hang out!
  13. Didn't plan our trip around that.15-25 mph. Welp...we'll see!
  14. Lol. Guess Conor and I will see everyone at the outlet bright and early tomorrow.
  15. YESSIR!!!! Hit Wolf Creek with a buddy yesterday morning before the game. Will post the pics and GoPro video with a short report. Was a great day all around!!
  16. Lol, the spool spun because the cold killed the anti-reverse! That was a fun birds nest to untangle after releasing that fish
  17. Don't get your bikini bottom in a bundle Chris. Conor had his lifejacket on under his coat.

  19. To follow up Conor's post: today was for sure a fun one at Wolf Creek. Those turds definitely outfished me on the Largemouth game though. 60 degrees at the outlet, 35-39 main lake. Started at the outlet on the riprap side with no tugs. Made another pass on the soft side and had our first few fish of the day. Including my first jerkbait fish. He hit it once and I missed it, let it sit and turned to Conor and Drew, when all of the sudden he slammed it again, coming straight out of the water. That was so righteous. Made another few passes and decided to make a run across the lake to the riprap by the island. Regretted that idea within 5 minutes of fishing and the 37 degree water temp. Ran back to the outlet and fished there until we left. Like Conor said, they wanted everything (but the Ned). We all caught fish on jerkbaits, jigs, and cranks. And all of us caught really nice fish on all three. They were definitely up shallow as well. Most of our fish came in 2.5 feet, mud and grass. Only one fish off the riprap. Had a really fun time at the end when we came upon a huge school of wipers and whites. Multiple doubles and triples were had to end the day! Biggest of the day went 3.65# and that was Drew's fish. Also got lots of GoPro footage to boot. - Drew's 3.65
  20. Looks like Wolf Creek is in the cards on Friday. Fingers crossed they'll be generating. Waiting for the report to come out tomorrow. Either way, can't wait to get out. Upgrading the electronics next week, which will make the upcoming freezing forecast even worse.
  21. What a beaut Clayton. If that isn't the best way to ring in the new year, I don't know what is. Fingers crossed, congrats!
