  1. You can manually mute the whole conversation and not have to put your entire phone in airplane mode.
  2. I use like, 3. Lol. NOAA Radar Pro, The Weather Channel, and Weather Live.
  3. After looking back at it, we actually ended up only fishing it twice in the rotation (twice too much). The third time would be Sept. 10th, but we're fishing Miola instead haha. I think Adam is the only one who's bummed on that considering he had a 3 and 4# the last time through
  4. I'm set for the fish off. Now I just have to convince the fiance we can win money at LOZ for BBB so I can make that weekend trip too, lol.
  5. But let's be real, the guy did poop his pants at Leavenworth.
  6. Wait I thought Tinberg was the BA here....*fart noise*
  7. KVD Sexy Dawg was the walking bait of choice for topwater. You can see in the video that most times I couldn't even get 1-2 twitches in before they exploded on it.
  8. 3.5" KVD Coffee tube fished on an 1/8 oz. tube jig, just slowly dragging it along the bottom. No real need for a football jig, we were fishing anywhere from 2-8 feet of water. Can't say I've ever fished a Senko t-rigged for Smallies. Closest to that I guess would be the Ned.
  9. That was actually the ONLY one we caught all day. Pretty surprising but I'm not complaining in the least. I know Conor was though, it was a heartbreaker. Never seen a Drum hit a spinnerbait before, lol.
  10. Melvern is my bae. Report from today to follow when I have time and energy to upload all photos to BR first.
  11. My biggest Spot is my avatar, caught during BBB. A hair shy of 3#. So fun!
  12. I know where I'll be this weekend then
  13. Sorry I'm getting back to you so late on this. Been a pretty busy past week. With any luck by then the water temps will have cooled down and the fish will move back up shallow. There really isn't any bad water there. Always a good tip to just start at the beginning of the homes cove and flip the docks on your way down. The South side of the homes cove is a little deeper towards the entrance, and breaks quicker. There's also some good wood worth fishing as well. The cove adjacent to the homes cove is also a little deeper, and the grass has always produced pretty well. It get's pretty shallow about halfway back, and has some good topwater areas depending on the slop. You should be able to find some fish. There are plenty of good ones in there, and most of us here have found them.
  14. Slipping is right. I've been so deep into moving I haven't even been able to get the boat wet more than once or twice the past two weeks. Did go to Lone Star with DJ on Sunday morning, but we didn't have a stitch of wind and it was 95 degrees by 10am. Caught the usual suspects but nothing worth bragging about. Will be all moved in on Wednesday in the new house, and will see everyone on Thursday.
  15. It's quite the drive so I'd assume there's never too many boats, but I wouldn't know til we make it again. (SOOOON)
  16. Keith posted it straight to FB from his GoPro, so it's not on the YouTubez. If I send you a FB link can you watch it from wifey's account?
  17. Not a once other than last Saturday. I was gonna apologize for posting a report on that lake just now, but figured it was fairly common knowledge by now.
  18. Did he crop the photo or did you? If only it was that easy to find that spot on that lake, lol (we tried)
  19. So after all the talk of Cedar Valley for the fish off, and seeing Jared's 7#, Keith and I decided to make the trip last Saturday. Such a cool lake. Launched at 5:45am and there was only one other boat that had launched right before us. Started fishing a steep rock bank, and within the first 30 minutes I got bit on a football jig in about 17 feet of water. It was a good fish, took me straight into a tree and broke me off. Shortly after that, coming around the point, Keith tied into the first fish. Most of you have probably seen the GoPro video on Facebook, but it was awesome. Once we saw the fish after it jumped, we both gave each other the look. First fish in the boat was over 4lbs. Talk about setting the bar high. Another fish that came deep. The rest of the morning remained fairly slow, but it really got going around 10:30-11. We were catching numbers on shallow grass lines. Jigs and a Spicy Shad Wobbler were the winners. After we'd beat up the grass for a while, we made another pass at the point where Keith caught the first 4#. Long story short, he pulled TWO more fish over 4# on TWO passes in the exact same spot. Probably 15-18 FOW on a football jig. Best 5 fish on the day went 18.25 lbs. Just barely missed our 20# goal. It was an awesome trip and cool lake, and can't wait to get back. The river end was blocked off due to some speedboat races, so we didn't even get to fish up that way. Aside of that, we only saw a total of two boats all day between 6-2. Our votes are in for the fish off, for sure. On another note, I caught my first respectable Smallie at Lone Star last night. Second cast of the evening on my new H20 jig rod (after I'd broken my All Star at Cedar Valley). I've only caught one little 6 incher on the Ned a few weeks ago, and have been waiting forever for one. Other than that fish, it was slow. Like, painstakingly slow. Water temps were 88-91. I was definitely not fishing deep enough. Nice fish though!
  20. Chris....you do realize there was not one single comma or period in that, right?
  21. I'm totally right there with you. The pictures raw from my phone are too big to upload with the mobile uploader so I'm forced to do it from my computer. I know where those first two came from and knew it would be good there with the rise in water. LS is a gem, now you know
  22. Took a little guy out to Lone Star last night on a guide trip to get him familiar with the lake, as he's pretty accustomed to fishing nothing but ponds and spillways. Was scheduled for Wednesday, but the forecast wasn't looking promising and managed to sneak it in last night and dodge the rain.Talked to Jake at the launch before we put in and sounded like they did pretty well despite the cold front moving through. Had him throwing a jig to start and got bit right away. I threw a Big Head Wobbler for a few casts to show him how to fish it, and I got bit as well. So I passed that off to him and he caught a few on it as well. After about an hour and a half it slowed down just a little, so I introduced him to the Ned and he had a blast catching fish the rest of the evening. We bounced around from spot to spot, caught a few off the dam, and ended the night with some respectable fish in the livewell for a good picture (had 5, couldn't keep the last wrangled for the photo). He really enjoyed fishing the Ned so I left him with a pack of PBJs and a few shroom heads (wanted to know if they'd work at his ponds, lol). Great time and very rewarding, even just for Lone Star. One thing to note that's kind of a bummer-the heavy rain we got washed away all of the slop areas on the lake.
  23. Had to wait for someone else to say it. Lol.
