  1. we're not just a forum, we're a family...kinda...in the sense that we all love to fish....anywho enjoy!
  2. you might get more response by putting this in the "fishing rods, reels, and line" forum...you can probably have a mod move it for you
  3. im thinkin bungee straps...or maybe like velcro straps that are actually attached to the rod, but you can release the strap when using, then put it back on when your done with the rod. just a possibility
  4. of course its a personal preferance but i'd rather not go to cabelas or bps and spend my whole day "feeling" reels esp when all you get is a feel for it, nother about the proformance of the machine. i simply asked here because i trust the opinions of the forum members. but i will have to look at a circular baitcaster, though ill probably go with the citica.
  5. do they have to be from the fall/winter season? or can it be like from the summer, before i realized these movies were going on?
  6. the chronarch alone would be over my budget...
  7. haha dang that is sick. give me 5-6 more years to get that much stuff. for now, i got two 3700's of baits, and a few cranks, spinnerbaits, and buzzbaits and some other stuff. its amazing to look at all those rods and reels, that would be sweet. but for now, i got one, and i can still catch fish so its all good! ;D
  8. you let your wife drive when towing the boat?! now thats a leap of faith!
  9. are you reffering to ebay as where you can find a deal like that? or is there a site you can give me??? ;D
  10. wouldnt you want a citica 200 so it has a little more power? or does it not really matter? whats the difference?
  11. look at this guy, he even knew i needed braid....what a character. but im thinking more low profile, though i havent tried that kind of baitcaster....whats the difference? other than looks? and where can i find that rod? couldnt find it on cabelas, bass pro, or even the diawa website.
  12. for a younger fella on a budget i love the shimano compre. when i think of loomis, things get hazy and i ask myself if im dreaming :
  13. I'll be looking to get a new rod and reel this summer/spring. I like pitching 3/8oz and 1/4oz jigs. Looking at either diawa or shimano reels and shimano rods. any suggestions? (i dont mind buying lightly used rods/reels) and im trying to keep the rod/reel under 200, better if it was 150. I currently have a diawa procaster 100se and a shimano compre 6'6'' medium power fast action
  14. according to physics you must add 4 times the amount of energy to DOUBLE the speed.
  15. thats pretty sweet but i count on dicks sporting goods in topeka for zoom stuff. during the summer there almost always like 25-50% off. i still may stock up.
  16. im in the same boat al, but that 10% off everything is going to be awesome....to bad i already bought spring stuff at cabelas. ill have to go anyways, let me know when your going. and dude im pretty sure you dont need anymore rods or reels, maybe some different baits but other than that im sure your set haha.
  17. hey i never though about that : i guess i wont be leaving em out anymore.
  18. i have a jon boat so i put them under the benches and you cant really see um. never had a problem with it, but if i stop im putting em somewhere safe.
  19. today it got down to 4 degrees, and the water has been solid for 3-4weeks now.
  20. then why are you posting?
  21. i was also considering duralast. seems like they last awhile.
  22. i think snl should do a skit like that. im not trying to start anything here so. i like our president but he sounds pretty foolish sometimes, and i dont mind so much when people impersonate him, its all part of the presidency. i think its hilarious. ;D
  23. thanks, i was thinking about getting one of those but most of walmarts products are terrible. but ill have to check it out again. where i live theres a battery store that will trade your old battery + cash for a new battery so i might check there.
