The Tournament is a much smaller reel than the BB1. I wouldn't be worried about the multi stop with a Lews Team cranking rod at all. I'm using my: 6:4:1 Tourney pro. The rod does what it should. Get the Tourney reel. 6:4:1 by the way ALF has Touney Pro's for $139.00 right now. Note: I own 2 BB1 reels and a BB1 Pro... If you have big hands get a BB1 5:4:1 or 6:4:1 with ms or zero reverse. If you're in love with the Smoke get it. The rod won't care. Both reels are made in Korea. I prefer the Lews. Congrats!!

I haven't used either rod but I would say you're in the drivers seat with the Team Rod. It's not easy to compare the two rods. You have to try them. It's my opinion the Lews Team rod is light years beyond the Veritas in all categories. I don't think you would be making a mistake to buy the Team Rod at all.. Go for it if you're throwing at least a 1oz. bait. Otherwise consider a Lews Custom Speed Stick.. I have the Magum One. It's a fantastic rod. Call ALF and ask them to sell you one for $100.00. They are very accommodating. They have gracefully discounted a few items I bought from them this year. In fact they didn't have one of the items I wanted in stock so they ordered it for me and had it drop shipped at a discounted price. Hey they may be able to get you the Team Rod you had in mind. Only one way to find out. Call!. I'm fishing from 3-9 today.. Gonna give the Crankin Rod another go!

Guess what? I just bought another one... Is it MM or MHM? Which do you recommend knowing I have the 6'6' MM 1/4-3/4?

6'6" Med. Mod. 1/4-3/4 Crank bait rod. It's superb! I have a Custom too, a Magnum One. Great Rod. If ALF had a MHM for deeper diving cranks I'd buy it. Sold out...

I'm going to try my BB1 pro on it tomorrow. I'll post a review of how each reel feels on the rod and the differences between them over all.

I just got home from fishing. The team rod was outstanding. This is my first cranking specific rod. What a difference it makes. Caught 5 bass 2.5# was the biggest. Hook set was almost all rod. Never lost a fish. I did miss one hit.. My fault! I started with a square bill in a rocky area then moved to open water and threw a rattle trap.. Bam! A great day with an awesome rod. I want more of them... That sucks Grant..

I'm heading out to a lake in about an hour. Guess which rod it getting used first! I'll post a review later tonight. Going to cast an array of cranks and a few spinner baits. If I catch anything worth taking a picture of I'll post the pic.

I don't own one but I am familiar. For certain applications it a winner. Its all about the feel you want from a particular rod reel combine. For swim baits or cranks it may just be what you're looking for. It looks quite comfortable. Check out the video's on youtube. I've seen them.. cool beans.

I have no issue with Flouro. The Seajunk Invisx I bought was garbage. Break after break. I've seen an awful lot of complaints about Invisx and SeaJunk online so it wasn't just the spool i got hung with. Wasted $100.00 on that spool. I decided to give CX a try. It's very good line. I'm using 15# and 20#.

Kyle put a T Pro on your new Team Rod and see how it works for you. You won't be happy with a lesser reel. You could look at and consider a Super Duty reel too. Beefy little bugger.

I spooled up with that Seajunk and on my second cast it broke off mid way... It was an on going problem with that line. I had it on three different rod/reels. No backlash or rocks to blame. It's just pure Junk and the company is no better. The P-Line CX is a great casting line and offers good feedback. Hook sets are a breeze with it, very little stretch. Try it I'm sure you will agree with me.

I bought a 1000 yard spool of the same line.. I had the exact same problem with it. It's garbage. Cost me dearly between the line and lost lures. Seaguar basically told me it was my fault the line was breaking. They SUCK! Throw it all away and look for a better quality line. I'm using P-Line CX now.

Mine was a 3.4 Large mouth. He was sitting in a foot of water next to a broken and laid down boat dock. I pitched a jig and he nailed it immediately. My biggest loss was about a 5 pounder.. I was using a jig. Pitching into a laid down tree. I pulled up on him and his head came up out of the water when he spit the jig. I was ticked for sure. The jig came flying back at my head.. I missed that hook set. Anxious i guess.

The guides on my caster are super sweet too. The tip is so tiny.. very cool, and like you said they align perfectly. My custom speed stick is very nice but not like this Team Rod.

Rod's here... Extremely well made. Excellent color and finish, Guides are sweet, Nice cork... This ones a crank bait rod, the taper is very different from any of my other rods.. I like it. Fishing tomorrow. First cast will be with a Live Target Square Bill.
