What brand rod's are available to you at the local store's? I use a Fenwick HMG MH.

My Lowrance 5x HDI is lousy in water less than 10 feet deep. Is anyone else experiencing this with there FF?

Nice looking reel.

Get some braid line and never worry again. I'm doing just that for pitching and flipping. I bought Sufix 832. I use CX 15 & 20 moss green.. It's extremely low stretch line. In fact I personally like it better than FC.

I'm not familiar with the reel but I do own a Black Tech rod. No complaints from me.

I was tempted for the price but I decided not to be cost conscious and bought Sufix 832.

I know we're talking braid here but I'd like to add this since you mentioned distance. I've started using P-Line CX.. The line casts a long way. Give it a try if you are in the mood to test a line one day. I'm not sure if braid will get out any further. You guys can tell me.
