Am I missing something? This setup has none of the original swimming action of the Magic shad. Swimming the Magic Shad by itself produces a very nice swimming action on a steady retrieve. Put it onto the chatterbait, and that swimming action disappears. So then....why again is this a great chatterbait trailer?

I typically leave the skirt on, so as to maximize the amount of visible movement caused by the vibration. I like that sucker to shake all over. But thats just my personal preference. Fish can be caught just fine without the skirt as well.

Already have. And it does look great, the way the tube tentacles flap and wiggle. It ought to catch fish well. With or without the skirt.

This - 100% Put forth a great deal of effort in distinguishing "need" from "want." Try to establish consistencies in what works most/least/not at all. Stick with what works while shying away from the mentality of doing too much of "Trying this and trying that." Avoid being one of those guys who only really uses 10% of their gear.

Funny, I feel exactly the opposite. I have a ball working a jerkbait, and find it to be alot of fun. But havent caught squat yet. Im bout to give up on them.

I have a bag of the 7"watermelon dingers that I will be including in my sell lot. Im getting rid of it in favor of a 6.5" Rattlesnake.

Nah, I didnt bother taking any pics. I suppose could. But honestly it looks exactly as described.

The Scum-Buzz Took a cheap $1 buzzbait from Walmart, cut the spinner off, and attached it to the nose of a Scum Frog. Looks good, swims good. No fish caught at this time, but now I have a floating buzzbait.
