  2. Are you wetting your line before you cinch that polamar knot?
  3. Offer gas money, Treat the boat and owner with the utmost respect.
  4. What do you guys use to clean the lenses on your sunglasses?
  5. Did you try backing away and casting from distance? They could have saw you and that may have kept them from biting.
  6. I'd try and catch it, but that's just me.
  7. I saw some males guarding and some females on Friday here in Michigan.
  8. Lifejacket, drinks, sunscreen, snacks, gas money, sunglasses, pliers, line clippers, culling clips, rain gear, hoodie.... That is all I can think of right now. Appropriate fishing license
  9. Next time take a photo with the rod/reel up against it. When you get home look at the picture and put a tape measure to your rod/feel and you'll come close to its length.
  10. OK, not sure why the quote in my post. Anyway..... I got out for a few hours yesterday. No luck on the swimbait bite. I liked the action of the SK. It was too cloudy to get a video of the bait in the water and it was later afternoon when I got out. I had a couple of short strikes on it, but never caught a fish on one. I did end up with 17 bass though. 14 came on a hula grub and 3 on a drop shot. Not too bad for a 3 hour trip. We will see what today brings.
  11. It is not too big. Conditions might not have been right. Did you catch anything on another topwaters that day?
  12. I am looking to get some new bait boxes for crankbaits, jerkbaits, topwaters, jigs, ect. Just wondering what everyone was using and why they like them. Plano, flambeau's,etc.
  13. I don't eat everything from the fridge when I open it.
  14. Will the 2/0 touch and tangle?
  15. I got mine from the Vandams but looks like Tackle addict has them too. I'll report how they work this weekend. Maybe I can shoot a video clip of them in action. Side by side if I can figure that out.
  16. I use a 6'6" ml in a premier for river smallies. It works good, but most of the fish are 12-16 inches with very few larger than that.
  17. Bass Angler Magazine aka BAM is a good one. I do miss the Linders old Infishermans. I have boxes of the old ones. Id say it takes at least 3-4 new ones to equal the old ones.
  18. Strike King left and Keitch right. The SK is advertised as 3.75 inches and the keitech at 3.8. The have almost the exact same profile. The keitech seems a bit more supple. The SK a bit firmer. That could make the SK more durable. SK has a larger top and bottom hook notch too. Price of SK $5.79 for 7 baits. Keitech is $5.99 for 6 baits.
  19. The mail carrier beat me home today. And I have a 3 day weekend!! Keitech comparison time!
  20. I have been trying to get a hold of Bass Quest Magazine to correct a subscription issue. The only thing I can find is an email address for contact information for them. I have tried that twice. I am measuring response time in weeks now. Any ideas?
  21. Well this has been brought up on here lately. Let's discuss how we can correct the issue other than reel selection.
