  1. Stren. I have been using it for 20 years. No sense in changing what works.
  2. Ok, Been looking at bass boats. I think I am going to pull the trigger soon. Got to thinking about this today looking at an 18' dual console Stratos. The deck just doesn't seem that long. How do you guys not step on rods when you have 3-6 rods on deck? I am thinking a single console may serve me better as then I can have the rods lean off the deck a little more where the other console. So school me please. Thanks
  3. I am looking for a website that will show me how to tie different knots. I am a palomar knot kind of guy 90% of the time. I am just looking for some new knots and how to tie them for jerkbaits, cranks and topwaters. Thanks
  4. The seats will raise your center of balance.
  5. It seemed to be. Felt reel smooth. I cant remember how many bearings it had.
  6. Looking for 4 and 5 inch. I want something other than Yamamoto. They are getting harder to find close to home. Help me out. Thanks
  7. Shimano has a prototype that they have been working on specifically for the A-Rig contraption. I am not sure when they will be available though. It is a round reel. Like a heavy freshwater/light saltwater .

What do you guys wear fishing when it is raining. I have a good rain suit to keep me dry, but I am wondering about something for my feet. I would rather not wear a pair of my hunting boots fishing to keep my feet dry in the rain. What do you guys where to keep those feet dry? I hate wet feet, but I am not stopping fishing for anything short of lightening. ETA..I forgot the important part........I wear a 14.
  9. What about using bread twisty ties to keep the treble hooks from getting tangled?
  10. bassh8er, I like your style!!!!
  11. How do you folks organize your tackle in the garage and in the boat? Crappy weather today and looking for something to do. Couldn't hurt to be a little more organized. Thanks
  12. Thanks for the offer, but no.
  13. I have seen them back up on the beds in October. Smallmouth that is
  14. wow. I had no idea that these where that good. I have a pile of them. Only ever fished a couple of them. Picked them up a long time ago.
  15. It is called a Cush-it. It is made my LunaSea. It helps too keep the rod from digging into your side and if the rod goes over then it floats "butt" up. I was at one of Shaw's seminars recently and he couldn't say enough good about them. He told of a story about his rods going overboard during a tourney and he didn't know it until he turned around. The rods with the Cush-it were floating and the others were at the bottom. He ended up snagging another rod or 2 from the bottom, but the Cush-its where at the top and recovered quickly. Here is the website. http://www.lunaseasports.com/ Although it doesn't seem to be working correctly right now. They are really nice. They weight NOTHING!!!
  16. I want to get either a Kinetic PT or Code (baitcasters) and either a Kinetic PT or Catalyst PTI (spinning). I want the "burner" gears in the baitcaster.
  17. It sure is. I wont do it another way.
  18. A regular pair of needle nose shall work. Watch this video. It works.
  19. Looking for a good website to order a few news reels from as no one local has any and I don't feel like driving a long way to get some reels. Thanks
  20. I still in the market for a used bass boat. Local boat dealer has one that I am interested in that they just took in on a trade. How much wiggle room do they have in a price. They are asking 18,000. What can I offer without looking like a dip? Can you dicker on used boats like used cars? I know dumb question.
  21. Day 2 and still the leader. Even after hooking himself!!!!
  22. What were the top 5 winning weights for that tournament?
  23. I have a pile of rods and reels. I fish quiet often in a canoe and all my tournaments as a non-boater. I never take more than 4 rods and reels with me. I let the time of year and conditions dictate what I will be fishing and I adjust accordingly. Before I had all my set-ups I could do all my fishing with just the 4 combos that I had. Maybe they were not ideal, but I made do and had to retie more often than those with more combos. Guess what I think that I am a better fisherman for it.
  24. Zona's Awesome fishing show will be about the Alabama rig this week. Check it out. Should give you some things to think about.
