  1. Are you putting the hook all the way through the bait and then skin hooking it or are you not fully penetrating the senko?
  2. 2009 July 23-26 Cold Water Clash Big Bay de Noc/Little Bay de Noc Escanaba, Mich. I know where I will be. I wonder how many walleye's will be caught during this tournement.
  3. I have fished that Palmer Lake quite a few times. It's one of my favorites. My grandparents have a place down there.
  4. I would have dove head first right in after it.
  5. I say bite the bullet go see the mechanic and save yourself some major $$$ before something goes wrong.
  6. First of all these are just thoughts and not meant to be negative or derogitive.....only things to think about. How do you know that there has been a sharp decline in the bass population? Has there been a scientific study on this lake or are you just catching less? Maybe worrying about them keeping fish is throwing your game and affecting your catching?
  7. I would have to think that the larger line would sink slower as it would have more resistance in the water.
  8. cpvenom, I like that but here is a play on it that I had pulled on me. The girls across the hall cut apart paper grocery sacks and taped them across our door. The kicker was the left the top 6 inches open and filled the space between the door and sacks with crumpled paper and popcorn. Made one heck of a mess when we opened up our door in the morning. We got even though. Waited till is snowed real good one and and burried their car up to the windows in snow all the way around. We went rounds back and forth for almost 2 years doing pranks.
  9. Wow, now Quinn has one slick ride. Sleep on the couch? Heck I would have slept in the garage.
  10. Looking online at the pictures of the Tennessee Triumph Skeet has a heck of a tow vehicle. http://sports.espn.go.com/outdoors/tournaments/elite/photogallery?id=3462568&photo=8 And Denny Brauer is a lucky guy http://sports.espn.go.com/outdoors/tournaments/elite/photogallery?id=3463308&photo=10
  11. Pretty nice. Too bad I just picked up the last two reels I felt I needed for now. Well at least until something takes a crap.
  12. Kinda personal isnt it? ;D
  13. Isnt it like fishing without hooks?
  14. I would say that you would probably have more room in a canoe.
  15. I went out fishing yesterday for a few hours. Got to the boat ramp, pulled off to the side and got everything ready. Pulled down to the ramp to back in and said WHOA. There was 4-5" of water on top of the dock. Apparently we have recieved more rain than I thought. Most docks in the lake had about the same amount of water over the dock. First time I have ever faced those conditions. Was only able to put 2 fish in the boat between the 3 of us.
  16. http://www.tackletour.com/reviewtexastacklesplitringpliers.html Has anyone tried these yet?
  17. I love my canoe. No bending over to lip a fish.
  18. Every time I go out we hold a mini tourney. $3 to enter. $1 for first keeper, $1 for biggest and $1 for most. There is usually just one boat and the two of us in it, but it works.
  19. I have only ridden in and fished out of Rangers, Tritons, Stratos, Champion and Tracker. So I couldnt really say. Of those 4 I like the Stratos the best.
  20. Since they have become a publically traded company they have shifted gears and went right down hill.
  21. Friend was in town for work this week. Told him I would take him fishing tonight. He said he hadnt bass fished too much so he wanted to learn. We took the canoe to a small lake. In just under 3 hours we put 25 in the boat between the two of us. All between 8" and 16" nothing huge but it was a good time. Lost about 6 more right at the boat. (they dont count unless you touch them.) Best fish of the night was when he was fighting one I casted right out in front of him, as I got the bait to the nose of the boat I hooked the biggest one of the night. So we ended up with a double. Unfortunatley no pictures because we didnt bring a camera.
  22. 26+? Is that for one day or two? Because if it was for 2 days then they really were not doing something right. No secret. That isn't one of the good lakes. Just one you can fit a lot of boats on. Our club usually has two tourney's up there every year.
