Minn Kota Powerdrive
I couldn't locate another foot pedal so I installed the co-pilot I had to it. The steering works but the prop doesn't turn on. It just beeps. The wiring plug and receptacle I got with the TM had 3 wires on each side. Power, ground, and the 3rd?

Minn Kota Powerdrive
Bought a used PowerDrive and tried it out today before going to the lake. The motor doesn't run at any speed using either the momentary or constant switch. I hear a clicking noise in the box where the battery power indicator is. Any ideas? It's a 45lb 48" shaft motor. I've installed it on a Tracker 1436 jon boat. thanks

Which Minn Kota Bow Mount Model Do You Prefer?
I have a Edge 55lb bow motor on my 18' Nitro and I'm happy with it. Just bought a PowerDrive 45lb for my 14' jon boat, haven't been out in it yet. Still trying to consider how to mount it.

New Old Fart
Welcome aboard. I'm also trying to retire and got away from fishing long ago. My wife insisted I take up fishing, buy a truck and boat. She thought I only needed 1 rod and reel and a dozen crawlers. Now own 6 spinning setups and 15 casting setups. She said she would never suggest another hobby to me. Good lick

Hello From Central Kentucky
Hey Steve, my English Pointer is at a trainer in Crab Orchard. Every 2 weeks we drive down and pass Herrington Lake and drive over the dam at Cedar Creek. I've heard a lot about the fishing in both lakes . Some day I'm taking my boat with me and fish Cedar Creek.

I googled the trolling motor weed guard and found the Moss Hawg weed guard. Ordered 1 set and will try it out, not what I'm looking for but it should work. Will review it. Anyone else used this?

Trolling Motor Weed Guard
This past weekend the wife and I fished a small lake in our 14' john boat powered with a trolling motor. We were returning back to the ramp after fishing several hours not catching anything. My trolling motor stopped working I pulled the motor out of the water and discovered what happened, monofilament fishing line wrapped around motor and prop. I removed the line and the motor worked the rest of evening/ Many years ago a TM weed guard was made, it was plastic and looked like a cone that would slde on the motor and was clamped and it worked. Haven't been able to located them any more. Any suggestions? thanks,
