Daiwa Lexa Rod
I don't have any comments on it but I've been looking at the 7'2" ML/ F DropShot Rod. $50 for a Lexa Rod is a sweet deal.

Where To Use Grease/ Oil?
I feel like I am overgreasing my reels. Where does everybody put grease vs where they put oil (lubricant)?

What Should I Use This Rod For?
I was thinking plastics, too. And for jigs I would only skip docks with it. I have a different rod I like better for jigs.

What Should I Use This Rod For?
I have a Gander Mtn Vortex 6'6" MH casting rod and it is a X/F action. What should I use it for? I was thinking skipping jigs, close-cover spinnerbaits, and shore fishing. Any other ideas?

Cabelas Sale Ends...?
This is why I order from Tackle Warehouse whenever humanly possible. I gave them one chance. You had one job, Cabela's!

Cabelas Sale Ends...?
I figured this applied to the Lew's reels too. Apparently not. I waited one more day to pick up a Laser Pro and now it's $60 more...

Team Lew's Lite Speed Spool Lfs Series
I have it. It's a great reel. Very smooth and casts far. Doesn't require a lot of adjustments between lures.

Daiwa Tatula Alternative
That's the same with me. My point is that some people would, and I'm sure you can find deals on top of it.

Baicaster Reel - Best Bang For Buck?
Get the Lew's Laser Pro off Cabela's. It's on sale for $70, comes in a 7.1:1 gear ratio, and also has a left hand model.

Dobyns - New Contender For The $100 Rod Catergory
It's official, I'm switching to Dobyns rods!

Daiwa Tatula Alternative
I'd say more than half pay retail on TWH for their reels. Suggesting that it's 2015 just means we have access to many resources. Most don't take advantage of it.

Daiwa Tatula Alternative
That was the point. MOST people buy retail, so they might as well get this reel. And it IS a fair comparison because they're the same price...

Braid Vs Fluoro In Thick Wood
They both have pros and cons. Fluoro is less visible, but does not cut itself into wood and get stuck. But it will break off easier. Braid is stronger, but more visible. It will not break off, but it can cut into wood and get stuck. Try both out and see what you like better.

Daiwa Tatula Alternative
I was comparing this reel to the Tatula, not the Type R. And I was arguing that the from straight retail with no upgrades, the Arachnid is nicer than the Tatula. Not exactly sure how you can not agree with that.
-
Daiwa Tatula Alternative
Looking at both retail prices, the Arachnid is a lot more quality. And bearings aren't that cheap.

Very Happy With Flurocarbon
I can't imagine it's easier to get through considering braid cuts through grass, while fluoro is too thick to do that.
-
Daiwa Tatula Alternative
I have to say, it looks a lot snazzier than the normal Tatulas.
-
Daiwa Tatula Alternative
Yes it definitely would.

Daiwa Tatula Alternative
It's a ridiculous reel for the price. I just hope people see this so they know about it and spread the word.

Daiwa Tatula Alternative
I heard Mike McClelland talking about this reel at the weigh in today, so I went and checked it out. It's on sale for $149.99 right now. The reel is quite obviously made by Daiwa. The interesting part is that it's the exact same price as the Tatula 100, but has four more bearings. The Arachnid has 12 bearings (9BB+2CRBB+1RB), while the Tatula 100 has 8 (7SS + 1RB). What do you guys think about this? I'd say if you're looking at a Tatula, definitely get the Arachnid.
