  1. love jerkbait fishing here. I fish them all season. Try size changes as others recommended. Also try pausing longer before continuing your retrieve. I also like to switch colors often. I can fish a certain color with nothing for an hr and then get 5 in a row on a silver, or perch color. Mix it up but 9 times out of 10 they want the JB.
  2. They have good service and will take care of you now and 20 yrs from now guarantee. A lot of companies are dwindling down warranty time frames. SC and Dobyns still have incredible warranties but you pay for it too in the rod pricing.
  3. Yeah its an inshore rod but awesome for fresh too. Newly released Shimano teramar XX. I enjoy over expride. Great action for a lot of techniques
  4. Been fishing the blue/gold previous version Nasci a long time in fresh and salt. Zero issues and that's after some large SW fish giving any reel a run for its money.
  5. Fish these techniques on mostly 6'-10" - 7'-6" spinning rods in ML-M Fast action. A couple favorites.... -GLX 842S -Megabass Addermine -Shimano crucial 6-10 M F -Daiwa's 7'-6" M/ML in any model you can find from Tatula to Steez
  6. The Megabass vision 110. Just a bait that gets no credit. ?
  7. XF I typically shy away from but some manufactures I do like XF on. If you are going to run with a F or Mod Fast for moving baits later just fish it. If your like any of us you'll end up with every type of power and action under the sun anyhow. This site does not help keep the quiver small either. Several of these topics have cost us a lot of money.
  8. Check into the new Daiwa Ballistic MQ. Just ordered one to try something different.
  9. OP, out of the rods you mentioned GLX would be my choice. If you want to go even higher the new Steez Compile AGS is awesome. GLX is a favorite at its price pt. and would make a great first high end rod. Chronarch or a JDM bantam would be my choice for the reel.
  10. I was not aware of this news about Aaron and appreciate you posting. Prayer is very powerful and I have seen it work wonders. Prayers for Mikes' wife, Aaron, and peace/comfort for Tom. Don't ever count Christ out on any fight.
  11. Fuzzy is when the line is good and broken in. Love original Fireline. Fish this on all my rods
  12. I thought you had mentioned a 7-6 being too long. I own both and the newer AGS in 7-6 is a little more powerful than the previous but is very versatile. I know its not mentioned as much as the unicorn but the ML 7 ft model is awesome as well and very sensitive.
  13. This is my favorite topic right here. Love high end spinners. If I had to choose out of this list it would be the new AGS Steez ML. The blue and black version is also very good! Also don't rule out a 842S GLX. Skip the SC elite and Xtasy.
  14. Been fishing a lot of deep jerbaits. Might want to add a 110 +1 , +2, or L.C. pointer DD.
  15. Shimano chronarch or bantam from Japan
  16. Lou, I haven't fished an Xtasy so I can't help ya there. Megabass does have great customer service and I think they would help you out if you are the original owner and had an issue. Kistler's warranty is even worse in my opinion but they also make a good rod. Good luck in your search!
  17. Big L, you have some nice rods in your line up already. I like Megabass but you aren't missing anything fishing NRX, SC elite, or Falcon.
  18. New additions... 7-6 ML/M and 7-1 MF
  19. When I started having issues with Abu high end spinning reels and their own customer service told me to stay away from them after warranty replacements had similar issues that says something. Haven't looked at the Revo line in years.
  20. Op, fish that rod. Most used nrx rods have similar marks second hand. Loomis will cover you if that rod breaks but its just cosmetic. Fish that puppy
  21. There's a 0.001 % chance a deer will die from it. Also will they blame covid when there is a hole in it come November...probably
  22. My conquest and nrx both looked equally bad. The weird thing is the GLX model I have was perfect.
  23. Easier cleaning, stay nice longer, keep cork from pitting, and yes they look nice as well.
  24. new or pre-owned and cleaned.....I use U40 on everything. Killer product!
  25. Without making this a page long lol the Conquest is more powerful than the nrx series. Rods can handle baits / lures that weigh a little more. The NRX + and conquest are similar in sensitivity for bottom contact. If you want a rod that can do a lot of different techniques run with a MBR. They cover a lot of bases. Conquest had more fast action options over the original nrx series but the new plus series brought them back. Not sure if Loomis will keep conquest around or not at this pt.
