  1. Ok thanks. Right now live shrimp is the plan. Will see what else I can get my hands on.
  2. I was just thinking that maybe a Brawler or Ugly Stick 7' made to handle around 30lb line would do the job? A Penn reel, with 30lb braid.. That's what I use when I go surf fishing in very light surf with my uncle. In clear gulf waters would you use a fluorocarbon leader?
  3. Ok, Supernatural is in fact available in 4lb, but 6lb Supernatural is the same diameter as 4ln Trilene XL, and 4lb Supernatural is .0015" thicker than 2lb XL. Both are great lines.
  4. Interesting... I currently have braid only on 1 casting setup for frogs. I've never used fluorocarbon on spinning tackle, for manageability, I really like Trilene XL or Sunline Supernatural monofilaments. Supernatural may only be available in 6+ poundage, but is so thin it supple, it handles like 4. I'll look up exact stats shortly.
  5. You're most likely right, but interesting. Sorry for the low quality picture didn't realize I had the flash on. I'll have to get a better pic sometime
  6. The hunger for victory, the hunger to go out and CATCH 'EM, day in and day out, better than anyone, tournament or not? What is it? What triggers it? Are you born with it or can it be bred? I'd kinda like to start an open discussion on this topic, so any and all input appreciated.
  7. Looks like this one is made by Strike King... Anybody have any knowledge on these?
  8. I love Grumpy Cat. I even have a calendar
  9. Very slow here. Lake conditions and weather threw me for a loop. I have an idea where they are, but no way to effectively reach them, with a presentation that is what they want to eat.
  10. If this was me I'd probably go the used route. You will get higher quality equipment this way. You dint need a $400 Alberderan to start out, but its a good idea to get a quality reel to prevent frustration. Keep an eye on Craigslist, or a local shop that sells high quality used gear.
  11. 1 6' medium spinning setup w/6# line, 1 wacky hook, bag of worms
  12. I bet you to eat a banana in your boat with a black cat on Friday the 13th.
  13. These are pretty decent speakers. I also like the Jawbone Jamboxes as well.
  14. Still like hot dogs? https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=2NzUm7UEEIY
  15. Stupid question, but I can't remember, was 832 a floating braid? I thought I heard something about it being a non-floating line.
  16. I caught this HAWG (2# bass) with a Yamamato Hula Grub on a Gamakatsu jig on my Carbonlite rod and reel while on my Nitro boat with a Motor Guide telling motor and dual Power Poles towed by my Silverado. -Roland

  18. A Jerkbait ripped hard and fast through the area, or a weightless fluke worked hard could be the ticket.
  19. What is it that you did not like about braid? Just curious as I'm contemplating line choices for spinning gear myself.
