  1. It could make a good spinnerbait rod. I bought a Rick Clunn VPs 6'6" Heavy used for pretty cheap at a tackle shop one time to throw 1 ounce spinnerbaits and the like.
  2. Yeah I understand. Have you seen the Jawbone lures or the XCalibur lures at your local Dick's? Great lures for the price!
  3. Yeah a black spinnerbait with a Colorado blade or a bladed jig might be a good choice. A loud square I'll in chartreuse black back is nice choice as well. Might as well try it and see! Can't know until you try!
  4. Would something like these perform similar function? http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00JGQLNLO/ref=s9_simh_gw_d0_g200_i1?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=mobile-1&pf_rd_r=0S9H5975T68JP95H5AX0&pf_rd_t=36701&pf_rd_p=2068141862&pf_rd_i=mobile http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B001U785VS/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?qid=1432300021&sr=8-3π=AC_SX200_QL40&keywords=precision+pak&dpPl=1&dpID=516EquhgoWL&ref=plSrch
  5. Thanks! I'll see if I can find some similar things. I just really liked the look of it! Thanks again!
  6. What type of craw were they? The swimming craw? I like those as jig trailers a lot. I like all of BBB stuff though they are well priced and good plastics.
  7. Actually, 8.99 is not horrible. Ots not great, but its not horrible. Are they made in the IS like their plastic baits?
  8. I've heard good things about the Rover. Personally I like the Savage Gear Top Prey 100 but I'm pretty sure they are discontinued
  9. Probably the best value in a lure out there. Quality hooks and hardware and they run great. I own 8!
  10. Never personally used em, not yet at least. Hootie recommended them, just haven't got around to ordering any yet... But Hootie swears by em.
  11. Above the bait and sinker? Or between them? Sorry if this I a stupid question but I've never fished one before.
  12. Bass are opportunistic feeders, unlike a shark so to speak. A bass eats whenever it has the opportunity, meaning anything that comes by a bass and is easily catchable, and can be partially fit into its mouth it will try and eat it.
  13. Somebody else already does. Its called TT. It also has a kayak bassing section but obviously not enough interest for a whole sub forum for that her. I'll just continue to use TT just for those two sub forums... As its the sole purpose I go there.
  14. This, my friends, is the best advice in this thread. Kids are so entitled these days, and everyone is just expecting to go to a 4 year school, and then get right out and get a full time job.. And when they don't, instead of fixing it they throw a fit because they are immature and entitled. This is why kids right out of college end up in the gutter. Not because they graduate with worthless degrees.
  15. Bryan Kerchal though! What an angler. RIP
  16. Nice! Where did you get the camp cover and the 2/3 rod holders?
  17. Its called the Booyah Boogie Bait
  18. I'd kinda be interested to see what giant swimbaits would do on Rodman. Mainly guys use big ol' shad for fishing for monsters down their
  19. Definitely a valid point you make.
  20. I will have Spinnerbaits tied on exclusively when fishing a laydown or other wood cover. I'll usually pick up a spinnerbait most of the time because it works where I fish and I have a lot of confidence in it. I only fish a swimming jig when there is a lot, and I mean a LOT of grass.
  21. Good question. I'm interested to here what others think.. I'd like to experiment with a DS.
  22. But since all things are not equal.. Factor in time of year, sun, all of that good stuff
  23. Same here but I use XL because I like its softness
