my good sir,this rig looks SUPURB! i'm going to rig this up when i get home.

what i do is i make several long casts and see where it's going. then you pick it up, look at it's FACE, and bend the eyelet thingy the opposite way in which it's going. it may take some time to do, but there's nothing like a perfectly tuned crankbait!

the markings are tell-tale smallmouth.

thanks alot. that is probably what i've been doing wrong. i think i get waaay too ancy. i usually fish spinnerbaits and cranks... probably too fast lol. i take it that it's alot like finesse fishing a roboworm.... yes?

I've tried hopping it, reeling it, sweeping it. I mainly use the strike king coffee tubes in watermelon/red flake.

I have tried and tried and tried tubesfor smallies and largemouths. I've used carolina rig, texas rig, jig head... I've tried all different brands and different retrieves with no luck. My dad and I are going to our favorite lake in a few weeks and I. Want some input! What am I doing wrong?

really??? a 4 pound smallie in FOSTER? i have only ever landed dinks... what do you use? and at what part of the lake?

strike king livin' eye in the white and chartruese colors. caught a few MONSTERS on them on a trip to Texas last year. they rock. also, i like booyah.

i'd do a carolina rig with very light weight and a really long leader. cast it out far. i would use a baby brush hawg or a small zoom lizard and work it back to u SLOWLY.

one time while launching my boat with a new classic truck (67 ford f100) it all went in the water. i mean, i was not informed that i had no e-brake, and the whole rig went into the water. engine completely drowned. ran the same day though. gosh i miss those classic vehicles...

i believe that if i eat foods that leave a residue on your hands (cheetos, doritos, etc) that the fish wont TOUCH your bait. additionally, i am a strong believer in mojo, i.e. if i catch 20 fish with a certain lure/rod/reel, that is one lucky piece of equipment!

hey guys i just got a lure making kit for xmas. so, now i'm really into it. i got some lure & jig finish in 5 colors, along with some hardware and 5 premade bodies. i have a few questions: 1: for that paint, is it best to paint it? or should i hunt for an airbrush? 2: where's the best place to get supplies? 3: i want to get some balsa bodies. i found lurehardware.com, they sell bodies and lips for diving, but how do you get the lips on there? thanks for all y'all's help.

I'm in the Willamette Valley, OR, and yes, it does seem kinda lonesome here. Plus, finding bass fishermen around here are kind of hard, because everyone around here fishes for steelhead and salmon. it sucks, because i always get the fishing fever around this time of year when it's really cold out, and all the rivers are too high for steelhead, but it's real hard to catch bass!

NEVER just use whatever. always clean the bearings, then use something like Abu Garcia Reel Oil/Grease. WD40 works as a great cleanser. Clean, grease, then place.

it could also be a bass that is digging a nest. you see it in salmon all the time. however, i have seen Kokanee with a similar mark on their gills

could be a sculpin or goby. they like to reside in the same type of water as panfish, and are small with a wide mouth.

I had a humorous car experience too: My girlfriend was in the market for a used Honda accord. So, she was afraid to test drive it, so i drove it. Right off the bat, the transmission was flakey. The car actually DIED and wouldn't start 10 minutes into the test drive. the salesman blamed the battery for the transmission. Idiot. So we waited for AN HOUR for his mechanic to drive the like 6 miles we had gone, he put a battery charger under the hood connected to the battery, and since the hood wouldn't close, i demanded that the salesman drive back because I wasn't interested. So, he was driving back, without the hood latched, and the hood flew up and cracked the windshield. HILARIOUS!!!!!

ya, and the tattoo brought me luck! check out this fish i caught less than a week afterwards. landed it with one of those cheapo zebco rod and reel combos you get from like a Wal-Mart. sure wish i had my pfleuger combo for him... lol. 2 fish in the first 5 casts. damnit i love texas.
