  1. Not worth the reward to risk your and someone elses life. Hitting a rock sideways is an easy way to roll over a boat. In most of the lakes I've seen you can't legally get within 500 ft of a dam. I guess its different down there but I would not have taken that risk for anything in the world.
  2. How about the state of Denial? I've fished there many times. And I'm always sure I know what bait will work and it never does.
  3. Not to throw the topic off of the "slot limit" subject but I gotta say I never liked tidal water bass fishing tourneys. I've seen the delaware river BASS tourney and it sucked. Major anglers coming in with no fish at all. Its so specific and so geared towards just a few anglers that you can predict who will win rather easily. I have read online from other BASS pros that they hated tidal river tourneys cause most knew they had no chance to win. I know it adds a new twist and professional fishermen should be able to adapt but some BASS anglers don't want to fish them.
  4. I haven't followed baseball in some time but I hope the Cubs win it all. It would be good for baseball that has been losing viewers for a while.
  5. One evening my friend and I were fishing at a small trout pond that had some very large bass in it. As it was a little past sundown we were throwing top water baits. I had on a tiny torpedo. As I made a cast a bat swooped down and grabbed the bait out of the air and tried to fly off with it. I jerked the rod to hopefully get it away from the bat but that just set the hook on it. The bat hit the water and started to splash around as I was reeling it in. Finally got it to shore and released the bat by stepping on it and pulling the lure free. The bat limped away and climbed up a nearby tree.
  6. I know who I'd like it to be....Morgan. The guy is pretty much useless except for building a jail cell so they don't have to kill bad people any more....yeah! I know on the TV show he is the moral opposite of Rick but he would be pushed out after what he did with letting the wolf live in the basement.
  7. You never know about Darrell. I heard on talking dead he has got alot of other projects going on besides the walking dead. But then again they also said the tv series was going to divert from the comics in a big way so.....
  8. I agree. Oneida or Cayuga would be much better and have more shoreline structure for fishing. I've fished Cayuga and it can be awesome for smallies and largemouths in the fall.
  9. Yea it does make it more likely that people will be distracted more. Also, from what I have read about it, its not perfect.
  10. Agreed. Did he have "face acne" then? I read online what caused that and it ain't greasy food.
  11. I drive the interstate highway almost every day and you can not believe how many times I see people texting or talking on their phones while driving. It's almost every other driver. I've been rearended by a driver on her cellphone. Lucky I was in my truck and she was in a small car and actually went under my bumper. No major damage to me but her car busted the radiator and had to be towed.
  12. Ok episode. Met Dwight and more Saviors, Denise is killed (not really a main character), Eugene and Abraham get into an argument and Carol leaves.
  13. If you can adjust the length of the line below the hook to raise the bait above the weeds. I've had the same problem where I fish.
  14. Hit BPS with a $25 gift card in my pocket and a song in my heart. Came back with 2 swim jigs (gonna try those for the first time this year), some bigger spinner blades, a pack of weedless finesse hooks and a pack of rage tail 4in. craws. Only went 10 bucks over my gift card.
  15. To me it looks like another species of fish that is gonna cost me thousands of dollars in gear to catch. I'm in!
  16. I got Hackney and Jones and Weaver and Davis as my final four.
  17. I just donated money, not the bucket challenge.
  18. I'm thinking like the DeLorean in those "Back to the Future" movies you would go back in time and date your mother.
  19. Go to bait to me means when the bite is tough and nothing else is working. For me that is a senko type bait. Nothing gets bites when the fish are negative. It can be fished shallow or deep so you can find the fish where ever they are.
  20. Nice hawgs
  21. Zoom fat albert grub on a darter head works for me. Simple and compact, comes in many colors, can be hopped on the bottom or worked fast through the water or anything in between.
  22. Ever think of just trimming the tail so it doesn't catch on wood as much. Just a thought.
  23. Welcome back, now grab a rod and reel and get out there and have some fun.
  24. Any idea why they are dropping the price of the baits? Usually only do this if the company is coming out with new style baits. BTW I can finally afford to throw LCs, too bad I got a couple dozen stick baits already or I'd have to spend my next paycheck on them.
