Anybody Got Purchase Plans Over Winter?
I've spent most my fishing funds throughout the year so no major purchases outside of maybe a new reel, oh and also an engagement ring ?

Winter fishing zoom call series
Monday afternoons or wednesdays are when in usually available. really interested in this. Since I moved I'm kinda missing my conversations and fishing buddies

What’s your fishing style
Power finesse here. I'll pitch a 1/8 to 1/4 oz baby brush hog 90 percent of the day. When I get on the boat with 6 rods 5 are going to be Texas rigs

Significant Rod Upgrade Recommendations
Dobyns champion xp 735 c and never look back. The tip is soft enough to throw almost any single hook presentation outside of punching, and the backbone is enough to send them flying out of anything. Just my two cents

Stained water
Fish a lot of these myself in south Louisiana. Green pumpkin magic is the deal for me
-
Stained water
I fish stained water 90 percent of the time. Usually a creature bait or craw with a light weight gets bit. The more action the better is what I've always found. And add a bead if necessary

Pond fishing lures
Lately it's been all a jig bite in the one I fish. It's about 150 yards long and 60 yards wide. Occasionally on a soft plastic or buzzzbait but I havent got touched on a small bladed jig

Hurricane Delta

Lafayette Louisiana
Checked out a couple of those the other day. Pond at youngsville sports complex had a fish kill. Do we have any Lafayette guys on the boards here. I'd love to get out there on Henderson but the miss motorboat ain't exactly thrilled with the idea of me fishing solo in new areas ???

Lafayette Louisiana

Hurricane Laura
I found a little bit of time today to finally have a bit of decompression. Fished the pond behind Costco in Lafayette and caught two small bass. That had to be two most emotional hooksets I've ever had in my life

Hurricane Laura
Still no power in the bluff today. I saw some areas in lake Charles are starting to get it. Moss bluff what did us in was all the trees man. Beauregard is rebuilding from ground up from what I've heard. That includes the high lines on north end of river. I can only imagine what kind of pain it's going to be to get up there

Hurricane Laura
Hope everything is going well for everyone. still no.power in moss bluff. Still in.lafayette for the foreseeable future. Gonna be tough to go back. The guy that was shot and killed by the 11 year old son in.moss bluff. That was one.of.my cousins. The hits just keep on coming

Hurricane Laura
Update from us: house is definitely not livable and the fish kill has started on the river. On a bright note I always wanted a skylight and a pine deck in my dining room and kitchen. ?♂️?♂️?♂️

Hurricane Laura
I live in moss bluff. Just north of lake Charles. This town used to be surrounded by trees. Now.it looks like a warzone. We had half a pine tree break and bust through the dining room. Almost every other pine tree we had fell. Luckily those fell in the road. other than the dining room and the water coming in from the hole and rain we made it out ok compared to.others. we were kinda blessed. But its definitely not good down here

Soft plastics
Speed craw and baby brush hog in green pumpkin magic. Stained, muddy or clear they find a way to find it

Southwest Louisiana bass fishing
Lol crazy to think the pattern on north end of river and south end are completely different. North up main river it was all about the sweet beaver. Went through two packs Saturday. We had over 30 ourselves. I'll let him tell ya what he's chunking, I got the picture of it and it looks like it's been in a wreck ???

Southwest Louisiana bass fishing
I do believe Sabine river is calling my name tomorrow. I don't plan on fishing anywhere south of i10. Most of my damage is done on old river

Time
At 34 I typically fish once a week. Sometimes not at all. Girlfriend lives an hour away so I try to balance all my time. And with a possible move to an hour away coming I'm going to get less time for a bit I'm sure. I'm now at the point where I analyze water less and fish the way I have fun. Heavy weights bigger baits. I realized not to long ago to fish to have fun again, and not fish to win money. Haven't fished a tournament since last August

Southwest Louisiana bass fishing
I'm just kinda stuck.on finding the right rate of fall and the right weight to accurately pitch, and the right weight for 4 foot of water lol

Southwest Louisiana bass fishing
Question what's your thoughts on a 1/2 oz t rig in wood in water with less than a foot of visibility, too fast or will water displacement do its thing? You know I highly value your opinion man

Southwest Louisiana bass fishing
Someone advised me to.pitch a 1/2 oz last night to get more reaction bites Said no different than pitching a 1/3 oz jig just less bulky. Never thought of it that way

How much does the lure have to be worth before you'll go swimming?
I fish a murky river in south Louisiana, I'll pass
