  1. The code did work for over 2 days.
  2. It's toast
  3. Wow I didn't know that they made kickstands for reels. What the heck.
  4. Scored a Rio Rico lot off facebook.
  5. I'm just using the off-the-shelf 12v from Cabelas. I am just using an ice transducer which may require less power than a totalscan.
  6. I use a HDS7 during ice fishing season and I use a regular 12v and get about 6-8 hours of screen on time out of it. You can definitely power a HDS7 just fine off a 12v. Just don't expect it to last a 8+ hour session at full screen brightness. I carry two 12v's with me ice fishing and can get through an entire day no problem.
  7. Nice job Clay! I ran over to Wood Lake in WI for the day today. I hit a few rocky points and tossed a paddle tail swimbait and BAM.. got a bite right away. Then the rest of the day I couldn't get a single bite on moving bait. Weird huh? I got a little frustrated and pulled into a bay with a bank that had some tree shadows and dead reeds. The wind was blowing into this bank so I pulled out the jig and worked it slow through the reeds. I got a ton of bites so I ran that pattern the rest of the day around the lake and got a lot of action. It was a jig kinda day.. the females seemed to be holding onto the hard bottom of the dead reeds. Still pre-spawn. Water temps was like 56ish. I worked 2 jigs, a custom 1/2oz green pumpkin with a biospawn vile bug trailer and a 3/8oz outkast Stealth Fider jig with a rage menace trailer. Of course the 1/2oz got my two 3lbers with the bigger profile but the 3/8th got the most number of bites. I tossed the 3/8oz on a St Croix Legend X 7'1MH with 15lb fluoro. That rod is simply incredible. I can feel every little twig that the jig comes across. It's like having underwater sonar... even with fluoro. I tossed the 1/2oz on a megabass destroyer FMJ 7'1 heavy with straight 40lb braid, no leader. I really like jig days.
  8. I forced my father into ordering one last night for his pontoon
  9. Works on the HDS9 also ??
  10. Overtons.com has a 40% off code going! OVERTONS40 I was able to get a Mustang Elite HIT PFD for $145 shipped! Nutso. They also have Simms challenger jackets.. $120. Oh and Jackhammers for $10 a bait. https://www.overtons.com/z-man-chatterbait-jack-hammer-265409.html
  11. KTP has 20% off gift cards.. might be good to grab one and sit on it until their next site-wide sale and combo. https://www.kitterytradingpost.com/gift-cards-1000667.html?utm_source=Kittery+Trading+Post+Main+List&utm_campaign=3d1ff7401e-mothers-day-050619&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_6b02e99986-3d1ff7401e-151884365
  12. I believe Daiwa is only doing this in their budget reels right now. Like the sub $90 market. I'm assuming it's at a price point where it is more cost-effective to let Doyo make these then then then doing them in house. Daiwa does say that they are providing them with their own main gears.
  13. Typically ebay codes have a short shelf life.
  14. Costa's 20% off from a specific eBay seller with code JUSTLUXE I was able to cart a pair of Costa Blackfin 580G's and get them down to $107 shipped which is a very good price for the more expensive glass lens. They have a lot of Costa's in stock. https://www.ebay.com/sch/m.html?_odkw=costa+blackfin&_ssn=world-of-optics&item=254134747031&_osacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=p2046732.m570.l1313.TR10.TRC1.A0.H0.Xcosta.TRS1&_nkw=costa&_sacat=0
  15. These budget Daiwa reels are Doyo BUT apparently Daiwa is supplying the main gear. So it's got some of their parts in them.
  16. I'm rocking a new Levante Perfect Pitch this year. Jury is still out on it. I plan on using it for power shot and magdrafts.
  17. The 893 is definitely more powerful than the Daemos. The Deamos has a softer action and is only rated up to 3/8th. It's more of what I would consider to be a "medium" power rod vs a true MH like the 893. The Deamos really excels at single hook moving baits AND can also be used for light t-rigs and weightless Senkos. If im dragging the bottom with a t-rig worm I'd be crazy not to use the 893.. it's one of the best blanks ever for that. I mostly use the Deamos for paddle tail 3-4" swimbaits & spinnerbaits. I personally toss weightless Senkos on spinning gear most of the time. The Otomat is definitely the softest rod in the Destroyer line. I used it a bit this week and MAN does it bomb a popmax. I was shocked how far I can toss a topwater plug on it. I have a feeling I'm going to love the Otomat.
  18. Yea, there's no reason to hang onto a rod you know you're not going to use that much. Thanks for watching. The Pro Ti is a pretty fantastic reel. Is it $350 fantastic? I dunno. I got mine used for like 240.
  19. I love the popmax. A little too much.
  20. Im in between jobs right now and have too much free time..
  21. Within an hour? Not really.. a lot of people run to Balsam which is just over an hour. Some of the 'good' lakes are about 1:45-2 hours. I'm gonna try and get over there twice next week before my new job starts.
  22. Anyone running over to Wisconsin next week?
  23. I'm surprised nobody has mentioned the Terminator Jr's yet. Those frogs are pretty phenomenal. This year i'm pretty much only throwing the Terminator Walking Frog Jr's and the Jackall Gavacho poppin frogs.
