  1. Thanks James, great stuff. Nobody reads anything around here.
  2. I think it's safe to assume that it will have the 100 knobs
  3. Sportsmen's Outfitters
  4. https://www.instagram.com/p/ByJu45hgYXz/?igshid=1nf7rkwcyz3n6 Looks like it'll be an aluminum Tatula 100 with a bunch of upgrades. I wonder what the price will be.
  5. Has anyone fished Little Sand up by Park Rapids/Nevis? Hitting it Friday. Heard big brown bass lurk there.
  6. Me and my pops went to Mille Lacs on Sunday and had a good time. I got my new PB Smallmouth at 6.04lbs on a TRD and a Outkast "Perfect ned head". We got pretty consistent bites on the east side reef's on Ned rigs & keitechs. You had to fish VERY slowly on the bottom.
  7. If you pull open a Patriarch spinning reel, you'll find the same cheap main gear & bearing that you'll find in a $40 president. The patriarch gets you a light body, but the 'guts' of the reel are still quite low end. That's consistent with all of Pfluger's reels. On the other side the Stradic Ci4+ has some of the best gearing & bail line management in the market. It's really not even a question of which reel is better at the price point. Stradic all day.
  8. A lot of states are now charging taxes on online purchases on websites that they otherwise we're not. This all took effect in 2019. I live in Minnesota and we're now getting sales tax on eBay, which kinda sucks.
  9. I think it will be. I have a FMJ and I've been using it a lot lately. It really shines with 1/2oz & 3/4oz jigs. I think it's a it overpowered for a 3/8 and lighter texas rigs. It's a powerful rod, a true heavy. It's weight and balance is superb though. Plus the fit & finish is ridiculous. I'm running 40lb power pro SSV2 onyx on my FMJ and man you can feel EVERYTHING. If you primarily toss 3/8oz jigs, just use a regular everyday 7' to 7'3 MH rod. I personally use a 7'1 MH Legend X or a Expride 7'2 MH.
  10. Daiwa BG2500 BG Saltwater Spinning Reel, 2500, 5.6: 1 Gear Ratio, 6+1 Bearings, 33.20" Retrieve Rate, 13.20 lb Max Drag https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01JH8FHS0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_Xn16CbM3Q791B $77 shipped

  12. Sportsman's Outfitters are a drop ship company. So when you order a Dobyns rod, Dobyns is actually shipping you the rod directly. Sportsman's doesn't have inventory in a physical location. They are just a conduit for companies to move inventory. They are not a real store, which is why their prices are so low.
  13. A lot of the pork fans have moved over to the leather baits. www.leatherbaits.fish
  14. The Fuego LT flexes quite a bit. It has a different stem/frame then the Tatula or Ballistic. It's much less rigid. I owned a Fuego LT and actually sold it because of the handle flex.
  15. I believe Steve Parks owns the patent on any "flanged" plastic, he designed the Rage baits. Lots of bait makers can use the flange, they just have to pay Steve Parks to use his design. Googan is doing this, and so do many others.
  16. They are still using that format in the Cups. The BPT stages are different.
  17. Are you metro guys seeing spawning action yet up shallow?
  18. I'm jealous! I was hoping to get out this weekend but the weather's looking pretty bad.
  19. I use em a little bit.
  20. KTP just takes two long square boxes and tapes them together. There is NO rigidity. The rod could easily get bent or crushed. Fair warning to buyers. GET TUBES KTP
  21. Y'all really need to ship rods in Tubes vs two long boxes taped together. Seriously. My Levante arrived safe but it's a horrible way to ship fishing rods.
  22. Honestly I don't have enough seat time in with it yet to give it a review.
  23. The lightest rod I own is a Croix Legend X 7'1MH, and I recently got a deal on a used Aldebaran 50G.. so naturally I had to put the two together. This combo is so stupidly light it's like a toy. I get why people love magnesium reels.
  24. When I went out fishing Tuesday (in eastern WI) the fish wouldn't touch a moving bait and were hanging out on hard bottom area's with dead vegetation. Totally opposite of what you just said haha. The bucks don't seem to have pulled up and started making beds yet, the waters still in the mid 50's. I found the fatty females up shallow but they seemed to be grouping up in hard bottom spots. Don't be afraid to fish slow and drag a jig/texas rig around this weekend. When it gets to 59 degrees start hunting for beds. Until then.. good luck! haha
