We never rented a pavillion. Usually we just found an open grill across the street from the kayak rental place. I think it's the Alligator pavillion area. We just set up over there. You probably don't need to spend the money on renting the pavillion.

I never read McCullough's "1776", but listened to it on a loooong car trip. The guy is a really talented writer.

Dude, you've made enough posts to do it. I used to put these together all the time- you're making a mountain out of a mole hill. Just pick date and time (typically a Saturday around noon) and get guys to sign up. Once they do, assign them an item to bring (hot dogs, drinks, etc.) Get phone numbers and confirm. It's that easy.

Not by a long shot. There is a new Halo game coming out called "Halo 3 ODST". It will take place between Halo 2 & 3 and focus on an entirely new character. The Halo franchise is one of Microsoft's biggest winners. Don't expect this series to go out anytime soon. That being said, I just played the demo and while I'm not a big RTS fan, I was impressed with it, especially for being on a console. The cutscenes and vocal acting were especially impressive.
