  1. Looks like a good time to me.
  2. For those of you who love Mad Men:
  3. Well, she knows I like to cook and ever since her husband died, I've kinda become the family cook at family events. Yes, a lodge skillet would probably do fine, but she got me something nice and I appreciate it.
  4. God, that's horrible. I'm hoping everything turns out ok.
  5. The Far Side makes me laugh out loud.
  6. It wasn't that I was complaining about not having one, I had just mentioned to the wifey that I didn't have one, and she passed along the message to her mother. As for buying cooking equipment at Walmart, you get what you pay for. Burley, Le Creuset makes cookware that lasts LIFETIMES. This is what I got: http://www.williams-sonoma.com/products/c145_2/index.cfm?pkey=ccookware%2Dle%2Dcreuset&ckey=cookware%2Dle%2Dcreuset I've got several in the collection; I used my dutch oven tonight.
  7. August 16th, I believe.
  8. I think Hershel Walker was the greatest college player ever. But Tebow is great and if they win again, he certainly deserves to be in the conversation.
  9. Is anyone else watching this show? Christine and I just finished the first season on Comcast OnDemand and have become absolutely addicted. I just started watching the second season last night.
  10. I feel bad for her. Yes, she is beautiful but she didn't sign on for that. It's just creepy that someone would do that to her. Man, that's somebody's daughter. I hope they catch whoever did it.
  11. So my mother-in-law heard that I had been griping about not having a cast iron skillet. Today, a 10 inch Le Creuset cast iron skillet arrives at my doorstep from Williams-Sonoma. And then she had the audacity to apologize that it wasn't here for my birthday. I swear to god, if something ever happens between me and Christine, I'm keeping Carol. ;D
  12. Snook dont go north of daytona commonly, they are very rare here in j-ville, so I would think they dont go to tally, and it is an hour from tally to the gulf so maybe he has not taken the time to get a red, even though the redfish fishing is very good there. :-/ I came across some guys that were harvesting 10" redfish in Apalachicola over the weekend. I called FWCC when I was away from them. But no, I just haven't had the time, nor do I know the area well enough to seriously fish for redfish since I don't have a boat and it is difficult to bank fish here. I am open for suggestions on places to go for redfish here in Tally if anyone has them, though.
  13. Make that four years and one day! I'm 7/19/77. Happy Birthday HAWK!

    Welcome Randy!!!
  15. Congratulations!!!!
  16. Thank you! I spent the day in Apalachicola with the wife and my son. I had one of the best fried grouper sandwiches in my life.
  17. I have never been able to bite through mono. I guess I have dull teeth. :'(
  18. I grew up in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana. I was telling Christine today how I couldn't wait to take the baby back for the first time so he could see his roots.
  19. Bizz, these are GREAT pics and it's a great story. Congratulations on making me instantly jealous.
  20. Nope, I'm retarded. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
  21. Wow. I was thinking the scorpion would win for sure.
  22. I just read that. An amazing journalist to be sure.
  23. Don't I know it. I finished my degree, my birthday is Sunday and Sportman's Warehouse is having a going out of business sale. It wasn't hard to get my fiancee to let me spend a little $$$. ;D
  24. I haven't been fishing as much this year because I decided to go back to school at age 31 to finish my degree. I stupidly flunked out of college when I was 19 for God only knows what reason. At the encouragement of my fiancee and mother-in-law (an amazing woman), I enrolled at Tallahassee Community College last August. Forty-one credit hours later, I have completed my AA degree and graduated with a 4.0 gpa. I raised my cumulative GPA from a 1.51 to just over 3.0. I'm enrolling at Florida State in the fall with two years to go on my history degree. For those of you thinking of going back or lamenting that you never finished, it's not too late!
  25. I like the spicy garlic, but since I live in a college town, the service at mine stinks.
