Oh for sure. You and I have talked about that many times lol. And I fully agree. Heck I can switch from a creature to swimbait trailer. They don’t care. Switch color. They don’t care. Swim it? Hop it? They don’t care just present it well. That’s just the one color I have never caught on that’s all. Not saying it isn’t a great color. If jigsaw have taught me anything at all. It’s that color just doesn’t matter lol. It’s more for our eyes than the fish.

I’m gonna say shad patterns. Anything white, silver, grey and fish scale sparkly. They just don’t work for me lol.

Looking good Katie! And yeah it’s hot and tough this time of year it sucks. I went after work today about 1:30 and my eyes were burning with sweat lol. gotta love those sleeper states lol. I like fishing here so much better than Florida.

It’s a wonderful state! It has a lot of great things. But everything you named too haha. After living here a year I’m shocked how good the fishing can be here. Coming from Florida.

I like black blue. I’ve never done much with pb&j. I like green pumpkin a lot. I just ordered a bunch of tabs and gonna try making some skirts.

Went out after work today. Threw a bluegill jig. Same as usual hop it drag it and swim it. Hooked 5 landed 3. Tail biters kept biting the tails off the xzone swammer paddle tails. That got annoying lol. But a nice afternoon.

That is an excellent point thank you! I guess I’ll get started haha! That’s one question I had. Do you stack the tabs and tie them? I was gonna stack them in order and use small zip ties to initially see how the colors lay out. Then tie them? And is the. Est thing to just buy packs of tabs? Or start with one of the kits

I love siebert jigs. I fish a lot of the snipers. I’ve bought them from Mike assembled. And bought skirts from him and jig heads and popped them together. im considering buying some of his unpainted sniper heads. Powder painting then myself and putting the weedgaurd in. and buying one of the skirt kits that comes with the tool and bands and a assortment of tabs. And I’ll probably buy a flirting vice off eBay. Just curious what everyone’s thoughts are? Is it worth it to play around for a winter hobby lol.

Loving it! This is a great topic. It’s funny how alot of us use the same but a lot are so different but we still get results. I think I’m the only guy who ties on a 5/16 siebert sniper and swims it, hops it, drags it. As silly as it is they work amazing as a do everything jig for me in my waters. Bout all ya need!!! I love a plain black and some kinda brown. It’s unconventional but i swim them as swim jigs also those colors

Grab ya a size 75 whopper plopper and a popper. I like the Berkley choppo and Berkley bullet pop. They will work just fine on that combo.

I totally get it. But I will say black,black/blue, green pumpkin or brown/orange get bit on the bottom or swam. We don’t have shad in the lakes and ponds in my area. It’s bream and blue gill. All Those colors do great on the bottom or swam. Whether ya are coaxing them on the bottom or swimming for a reaction strike. I take an orange and a chartreuse spike it marker to a green pumpkin. Bam ya got blue gill lol. It’s all in the action. Man I’d love to sit around and talk to you about jigs and lures.
