  1. Holy cow! I was looking at the craws on TW. Are they seriously worth the $8.99 for a 6 pack?!?
  2. How do people even trade stuff in? The 25 percent of cost on an excellent condition item is insane lol. I’ve tried a few times and it’s just not worth it.
  3. Honestly no idea what I’ll ever do with all the ones I save lol. But for some reason I do.
  4. Hahaha. I’ve cheapened up pretty good over the last couple years. I used to run all wild and stuff
  5. Can be. Just gotta do it on the cheap and effective lol
  6. I can’t argue any of that. Excellent point actualy
  7. I can see that. Maybe I’ll just stick to my measuring tape lol
  8. See same here. I tried a luggage scale and found it to be a pain and it’s not water proof. I’ve always measured fish as well. But was kicking around the idea about a cheap scale I can put in my bag
  9. I’m looking for a small digital scale with a lip clop on it. Not the hook. I was curious what everyone’s using. Don’t need anything fancy just want something better than my luggage scale lol
  10. I’m not that ocd. I generally leave them rigged on jigs. I use a plastic till it’s not useable anymore. I use mendit to put them back together. And honestly mix colors and stuff in bags. And don’t worry about color bleed. Color isn’t important til it is. For the lost part it’s presentation. I just don’t think that much about it. that said I have a tub full of plastics. And always look on the bank for peoples left behinds. No idea what up ever do with the but I save tore up plastics lol.
  11. After messing with mono for a while now. I think I may go back to 30 pound braid for general bait casting line may try Berkeley’s 5 strand braid. It was on sale at a store near me
  12. I used to do the same as @Swamp Girl kayaking in Florida on the saltwater canals and passes. When launching always trolled out to my spots. But it was really just to see if I could get something on the way out. I didn’t care for it. But it was a line in the water while I was paddling. Which I don’t like lol.
  13. I’ve been throwing Berkeley bullet pop 70 the last week or so on my pond trips. I’m really liking it. I don’t mind real slow working lures though. I got a chug bug as well. But I’ve done better on the bullet pop. The subtle slow action is great.
  14. Try downsizing the size of the plopper. Go to a 75. It can help
  15. So I’ve fished extensively in Florida lakes and ponds and canals. And then here in Iowa. And I’m gonna be honest. It’s night and day. Sure the baits are the same. But they act different. They fight different. You have to deal with the seasonal changes and temps. There was none of that in Florida lol. It’s a totally different game.
  16. Definitely has happened. But I’ve also learned whose opinions are sound and solid. Not just fan boy stuff like @gim said.
  17. I leave my stuff in my truck no problem. Never really had an issue. I mean if ya threw them on the dash they’d melt but on the floor has always been fine for me in Florida and Iowa
  18. Works either way. I personally thread everything on. I don’t like nose hooking them. I like keeping the package small
  19. Thank you! I’ll definitely let it pause longer. I agree. About the feather treble. I was catching them on hard jerk baits in very early spring. On a dead pause. A long one. And the feathered rear treble helped there as well. Speaking of that I need to replace that before fall. I really am liking the pooper a lot
  20. Spinning or casting? What’s the lures we wana use? ponds? Rivers? Lakes? Lots of vegetation or open water? Rock or mud bottom? we can get ya set up just need some more details.
  21. Some of my best bass and saltwater trips over the last 20 years have been before a storm and during the rain.
  22. I take those slow days and play with lures I normally wouldn’t. Or practice casting. I live super close to the chain of 4 ponds I fish some small some large. So sometimes I just plain go home lol
  23. I gotta go snag some 4 inch mayors today lol
  24. I’m absolutely that way. I just want to fish and get bit. And enjoy. I have decent equipment. Not alot of it. But I have decent stuff. I measure bigger fish. But other than that I’m there to fish. I love catching big fish but I’m not gonna turn my nose to a day of catching 10-20 fish that are 1-1.5 pounds. There’s no Cadillac or even money to win for me at the end of the day. Just enjoyment.
  25. I’ve been using the mayor, xzone swammer (not durable at all). And largo shad. But they are all 3 inch. Maybe I need to step up to a 4 inch?!?
