  1. Yep I have a 25 pack of the mini and regular d bomb in my favorite color super bug . Use them all the time.
  2. I do throw that a ton and really like them. Especially swim jigging
  3. That’s one I actually have in my cart to order! That’s exactly how I use them. Never glued them on though. I’ll give that a try thanks! I didn’t know that always forget about dsg I have one near me too
  4. Thanks! I always forget about big bite baits
  5. I love the menace rigged vertical or horizontal. It gets bit.
  6. That’s most likely where I will get them for sure. Mike seems to have the best prices
  7. Oh that’s fully what I expected to hear. And I know I’ll end up buying more of course lol. But thought might make a good post and see what else is out there
  8. So I’ve really fallen in love with the rage bug as a jig trailer. Works hopping, dragging and swimming. But they aren’t super durable. And at $7.99 a pack now man. Just curious if anyone has an alternative recommendation?
  9. I’m more than good with the dinks. I’m always chasing a bigger fish. But I’m not gonna fish obnoxious sized baits to avoid smaller fish. That’s just silly. Every fish teaches ya something. Besides who doesn’t love when ya get on a spot and can catch 20-30 1 pound or so fish in an hour and a half?
  10. @FloridaFishinFool have fun man! I always wanted to go when I I lived I Florida and fill my swag bag lol. But never made it. Hope ya meet some cool folks and se lots of new stuff. id mostly be there for swag and to try and meet some of the legends. And other bass resource members. I don’t generally jump on the new lure bandwagon.
  11. Excellent point! That is silly. I love the look and feel of bass pro. I just can’t stand al the people lol. But I’d be a liar if I said I dont buy stuff there. Just not my favorite store lol. and I agree I have zero interest in ice fishing lol.
  12. The one here in Iowa near me in Altoona I dang near can’t stand to go to lol. I prefer to just shop on line or go to scheels
  13. I agree. I like my 7’ M just fine. But the 7’3” MH I could probably live with out lol
  14. Aweosme! I really should throw it more but I just don’t. It always produces. Like you said great versatile lure. yeah is what it is it’s hot and summer here on the Midwest lol
  15. Summer afternoons are tough. This work schedule switch to being off at 1pm instead of going in at 11 am has been tough haha. I love being off work at 1pm instead of 7pm though. Got one today on a crush city mayor and a underspin. They wouldn’t touch anything else. That’s said blue bird skies and 90 degrees and no wind I wasn’t there long. The ponds I fish have virtually no shade around them like trees or bushes and such. So I haven’t exactly got them figured out when the sun is overhead lol. They probably go to the deepest part of the pond.
  16. I really like the couple I have picked up at scheels. Affordable and rugged
  17. Any recommendations on a model?
  18. I’ll have to check those out. Ive heard of them both just never handled them.
  19. I do have the swim jig and love it. I just like to carry two rods. And wouldn’t mind one with a lil faster tip than the moderate fast tip that’s all
  20. Oh nice! Those are cool rods. My falcon 7’2” swim jig is that way. It’s a MH-MF. It really Is a versatile one rod for the day kinda rod. I love that I can work jigs or Texas rigs. Or a popper on the same rod. I usually carry it and one other rod set up for a Texas rig or jig.
  21. Glad To hear I’m not crazy lol. Back to my Tatula xt till i try something else lol
  22. For price and reliability and availability. I’ll take a Shimano slx xt all day every day.
  23. I love it lol. Slow methodical baits are my deal. And I love dead sticking. Sometimes I’ll cast a popper, jig soft plastic or whatever out. And then check my email on my phone or something waiting to feel that thump
  24. I fish ponds and lakes. Lots of jigs in the 3/16-5/16 and Texas rigs 1/8-5/16 or so. I’m wanting a new 7’ rod I’m wanting to stick around that $130-150 max. was considering another falcon lowrider like the headturner. Or a cashion element z2. Possibly a Phenix feather heavy. What’s everyone’s thoughts? Feel free to add a suggestion that I didn’t post!!!
  25. I can’t argue they aren’t a good rod. The sensitivity is amazing. And I like the design. I would like to try a Heavy before totally writing them off. But then I wonder is there better out the for the same price or less. My falcon lowrider is much better QC. Idk I’m probably splitting hairs and whining here lol
