Oh wow! Thank you so much!! Certainly was a huge surprise. I’ve fished that pond a few times a week since march. Never caught one over 1.5 pounds.

Went out for 30 mins after work. Hot and sunny. lol wind. No bites. Right before leaving I made one more cast along some scum mats down the bank. This girl smoked it. No idea on a weight. But my PB for sure.

I have a 3/8 gold blade strike king I really like runs nice and true. I hate when a buzzbait runs crooked

Very nice. I do like the 5/16 and fish it often. I’m finding that I like a 66 strand jig finesse cut tho and cut it short

I do enjoy a 3/16 for that exact reason. Almost lays on top of all the junk.

Nothing. They act the same as any other fluke. Just a goofy color. Sometimes ya match the hatch. Sometimes ya want that odd goofy color. Either can make a bass interested or strike. Maybe it’s curiosity to the color? I’m not sure. One nice thing is in shallow clear water you as the angler can see it. That said I’ve never fished any pink flukes.

A couple of my jigs I’ve made. Just starting out tying my own. Thread tying is tedious but a lot of fun. And they both have caught fish each outing.

Haven’t much this year. But I love a buzzbait. The sound the action. And the bite. First top water lure I ever had success with! Had one from Walmart for years that I loved lol was one of those $1 ones

Welp everyone beat me to the good advice lol. @A-Jay man that was some killer insight!!! I will say I have played with flouro some this year for the first time other than using it for inshore fishing leaders. I really do like invizx. It casts well and is managable to work with. I will end up getting a spool of 15 pound for sure. I didn’t care for 12 pound. As far as knots go a nail knot,trilene knot, palomar. They all work. Just have to live it up very wel before sinching it down

Went out this evening for about 45 minutes. The bite was good nothing insane and no big fish. But a fun time. First jig that I’ve powder painted installed the weedguard and thread tied the skirt. I’m calling it “electric slug”. Heavy strand count for a finesse jig but it works so well.

I like those as well. It’s funny it’s all presentation with a jig mostly. The colors are for us lol. And man some of them are gorgeous.

Excellent explanation. Well said I’d go silicone. Cheap and durable and effective. Buy a couple packs of silicone tabs and make your own. Possibilities are endless

All the time lol. The chain of ponds by my house I’ll fish a couple hours a few times a week. But I’ve stopped and killed 15-20 mins before picking my kid up, or if I run out to the store that way. I fish on bait and that’s it. Super simple and easy
