I've researched it. And I'm just curious do you guys worry about the action of a stick bait? I was comparing the action of yum, gambler, and some flea market brand. Some are a lil stiffer some very soft and action is limper. Do you guys even care?

I've been pretty happy with vmc and gamakatsu. Just don't care for how much they cost per hook lol. But there worth it

Rooster tail inline spinner in white or silver, and a rattle trap. Those are pretty deadly baits that are readily available and cheap. And classic rapala minnow cranks in black/silver, and black/gold. Those are deadly and good to have and everything I named is readily available at Walmart. And small to store. They compliment plastics well and can be thrown on several types of combos

Something just draws me to these rods. I'm super pleased with my halo rods. But I still wana try a duckett

I wish I had some input for ya. But I'm very interested in responses. And curious what the real deal is on these rods and braid?

Weightless T-rigged stick bait or a ribbon tail is deadly as all get out. If open water I'm another rooster tail guy!

3/0-4/0 will do fine that's what I fish on all the above baits and have no issues even on lil fish

All great baits. I've done well on the ugly otter weightless Texas rigged

Living here in Florida I fish a ton of gambler baits. I like the ez swimmer swim baits, the ace stick worms, ugly otter, why not, and the craw baits they make. There excellent affordable baits! I'm not overly fond of there ribbon tails they are to much body and not enough tail. But that's just me.

Nothing wrong with that! Don't let it get ya down. Work hard and save and buy the things you want. You'll appreciate them more than having them handed to you!

Ahhh man that's a great fish! My best is 2.5 pounds lol. I'm a pathetic Florida bass fisherman! I gotta try the frog deal and stick with it. I do set it down pretty fast I won't lie

So I'm in Florida and it's already in the mid eighties here. A lot of the ponds and lakes I started fishing in December are now hydrilla and weed factories lol. They where once fish able now they are got an in bad. What do you guys do technique wise to combat this?

Stop over and say hi in the introduction section of ya have time. A berkley lightning Rod shock or the halo starlight rods can be had at local shops and wal marts for about $39-50 and are outstanding rods for the money

I do hear ya there I also only have a a few combos. But I like it that way. And I just don't care about the looks thing strictly performance lol
