Why You Should Check Your Local Sporting Goods Store Often!
there's one that's been building in Atlantic City for 5 years.... they keep on pushing back the opening date lol. The only fishing stores that we have in NJ other than mom and pop is Wally World and Dicks, as Cabelas, gander don't seem to want to open a store in the most dense state lol

Why You Should Check Your Local Sporting Goods Store Often!
Dicks is the only half way decent fishing store i have around me,and it has a pretty decent clearance and sale selection. Only other options in NJ is Wally World and that Bass Pro that never seems to be open.

Pond Fishing Question
try some topwater. Also, the rage rig is pretty successful around new jersey ponds and lakes.

Win 2 New Reels!
ditto. No point in having two of the same reel. I much rather give it to somebody else lol

Bullseye Snakehead - Urban Myth?
we have them all the way up in NJ lol. They have invaded through various big rives such as the Potomac and the Delaware.

Went To St Croix Rod Outlet Today!
sick deal!! I would pounce on that too, but I live on the opposite side of the United States lol

South Jersey Bass Fishing
Davidson Mill Pond is really nice.. as long as you have a kayak or boat. Tons of bass under the cover, but shore line access is crap so not many people fish there. I live 5 minutes away lol.

New Jersey Roll Call

Keeping Native Fish As Pets?
way too expensive. They would need a flowing current, chillers, little pools of water etc. Will cost you at least 1000$ to get the whole thing off the ground lol

What Makes A Good Pond?
A good feeder creek helps a pond's ecosystem greatly. Also, Lilypads and vegetation are good locations to target bass and pike.

Rigging Plastic Worms W. Swimbait Hooks
Does anybody else do this? I ususally use 3/0 weighted swimbait hooks with 8-12 inch ribbontail worms. The spring thingy at the eye of the hook helps prevent the plastic head from slipping (big negative when using regular worm hooks), while the weight at the bottom of the hook helps improve casting distance a lot.

Gsx Elite 7 Ft 6 Medium Spinning Rod Gander Mtn
Just bought a 7'2 MH GSX elite casting. I will try it out today and give you a review. But already, I've noticed that the tip and upper sections is EXTREMLY thin. I can't imagine hooking into a lunker, and the tip not breaking. P.S. wrong section lol

Rod Sales!!!
this is a really good deal...

Bass Rise
interesting concept, but this is a 50$ reel lol. I doubt shimano is gonna invest all this R&D into magnet spools just for a cheap reel nobodys hear of lmao

Stren Original Vs. Spiderwire Braid
Most people think spidewire is cheap junk. I would recommend using 4-8 pound Mccoy Coppoly

2 in a cardboard tube, but bubble wrap it tight and put foam on either end.

Skeet Reese Victory: Is It Really That Bad?
As long as you can get it for under 90$ its a pretty good reel. I got mine for 40$, and consider it a pretty good value at that price. It's better than the 79$ Laser speed spool i used to have. Honestly, I think people hate on it so much just cuz it has the "W and M" name lol
-
Mh Gx2
Just get a new rod lol. You really don't want a rod with a glass tip for bass fishing unless its for cranking. Better options for under 50$ would be the H20 Ethos

Mh Gx2
What is the rod made of? Is it tip heavy? Or is just too heavy in general?
