  3. Just checking to see if anybody has any pinon/front and rear gears for the lower unit of a 1987 Johnson 140. Need to replace them so I can get back on the water.
  4. One of the bigger ones caught this afternoon. No scale or measurement. I was just out having some fun for a bit!!!!!
  5. I think it be fine for 3" senkos. It has a moderate taper but that should have enough power for that size bait. I will definitely be giving those a shot once ice thaws over here!
  6. Ultralight cranks such as Rapala Mini Fat Rap, #4,#5 Rippin raps, a couple smaller x raps that are 1/16oz Mepps #1 spinners

  8. Well I fish both left and right handed reels almost equally the same. I am ambidextrous so using one over the other isn't a big deal. Although lefty feels better when fishing short distance so I don't have to switch hands but if I'm bombing baits switching in the air isn't a issue. But like anything else it's all personal preference. I chose both and makes things easier when finding good deals on reels!!!!
  9. My new cranking reel, conquest 101hg
  10. Used to be the Quantum Exo ppt. now i really enjoy my Shimano 50 Aldebaran and Aldebaran BFS

  12. I currently have a stock Aldebaran bfs. Just wondering how light of lures you can cast with your upgrades on an approiate rod?
  13. Finally got some open water in the Upper Peninsula. Gonna go try these out later today.
  14. Ya. Its still pretty new and brakes haven't been used much. I guess I will break them in a little using the toothpick which seems to work the best. I just couldn't believe that when I was testing it I could adjust them w/o tools which worried me. Hopefully they loosen up soon.
  15. OK so I am having a little bit of trouble adjusting the brake pins on my Metanium. It seems they are really stiff and the only way to pop them loose is with pliers or a toothpick. Do any of you guys have this problem or a solution. I actually drew blood trying to get them loose.
  16. What was the shipping cost of a reel from there? I hate the "we will tell you after" thing

  18. I own two veritas and a veracity. They are stiffer than there rating on the rod but are good rods. My opinion is stick with micro guides and you won't be disappointed.
  19. I'm not a fan of the terminator twin spins. The titanium is to flimsy and like people say the blades or a blade will come off. But I've never had a problem with the standard terminator spinnerbait.
  20. I love fishing these above submerged weedbeds and actually I really like these for walleye fishing at night the same way.
  21. Started out with spiderwire when I was a kid. Now I have grown to like suffix 832 and purchased a spool of seaguar smackdown but haven't had a chance to really try it out.
  22. Hey guys how's it going. Thought I would introduce myself here and get some input from you guys down the road. I'm working on upgrading my fishing gear this year and hoping to hone my skills for bass fishing. I mainly fish out of a 12ft aluminum Jon boat but hoping to get something bigger as the amount of gear I bring with is ridiculous for the size and shape of the boat I fish out of.Hope to gain knowledge, friendship, and many good memories from this forum. Looking forward to getting to know some of ya.
