On the fox river, theres a popular bend for smallies. On this bend theres a large rock, and 5 feet further down stream theres a tree less than 2 feet off the water over hanging a large area. You can tell its a heavily targeted spot because it's all different color during fall when the leafs are gone thanks to the lures all over the tree.

I've fished both short term. The fury is a good rod for the price point, nothing fancy, innovative or overly impressive. I've also fished iRods and have been dying to buy my own since. Personal preference for me is with the iRods. You can't really go wrong either way though.

One hundred percent JJ Magic. The stuff works. I sat coangler next to someone using gulp, same size, same color lure. The only difference being I dyed the tail of my fluke. I out fished him for five hours until we switched bait types when the bite died down. Two scented lures vs each other and JJs won hands down.

You're right I must of not been paying attention to what I was posting. I didnt even notice I posted steez.

For years I was a big Shimano guy, they had great products at reasonable prices. Honestly I feel like not only has the constructed wuality decreased greatly, but I feel like for the components that you're getting compared to other lesser brands you're paying for the name Shimano more than you're paying for the rod. I've held 130 dollar gander mountian elite series, and carbonlites from BPS I was more impressed with than more expensive Shimano rods these days.

It means I loathe abu garcia rods even the steez.

Bias opinion first, buying a veritas rod is never a good choice. Personal prference aside, you got a medium for a reel that is good with casting lightish lures, just remember worst case scenario you have another rod and reel purchase that you're happy with and one more you can eventually look forward to getting.

Depending on price i might very well be interested in this line for 25ish jigs. Please let us know.

I'll give you the advise I can have by regret purchases. Do not buy Shimano rods period, I've never been satisified with one. BPS rods. I've had several but always prefered gander, cabelas, and even fenwick rods.

The nrx is definitely very comfortable, not the kind of comfortable I got from other rods that I actually had the thought of d**n this is comfortable, but it's comfortable enough that like them after my first three or four casts I never gave it a second thought.

I've saved thousands over the years. Definitely worth it if you add it all up.

I would love a sale sticky thread, but I'd hate going through all of the questions to have the most recent answer, and it just to be over lol.
